So my 77 and 74 year old parents ordered a new couch and Lazy boy two weeks ago I make sure the old furniture is out last week they come the next day to deliver a broken couch that they try to bill my parents $500 dollars to restock this broken couch which was a fight to have not billed to them, then today a week later they are scheduled to receiver a new coach which was their fault in the first place that was overlapping my fathers bone marro test at the hospital so I come to the city to make sure my mother can be with my father during these very complicated times for this US Army Vetran and 32 year vetran Police officer so that I could meet with the delivery guys at their house and We are in the basement of the hospital when I notice my mom's phone showing a ring camera alert that someone was at the door, we have no service so we start to head toward the house missing the delivery truck by 13 minutes which we never received a voice mail on are phone showing they were close which was when I was going to head to the house to meet with them, we go to the store and call corporate and are given the "we don't have a number to the delivery drivers they should have called you..." which I find funny because your cell phone would still have a record of a voice-mail sent even if you were on the moon as soon as you got back I to service and no they did not try to call before they got there which if they had I would have been at the house at the same time they would have arrived now my 77 year old father who was being given the new furniture to make his life just a little more bearable for the time he has left is now completely upset at my mother for missing these delivery guys, so bottom line steinhafels sends us broken furniture and then refuses to reach out to the driver of the truck that shouldn't even be needed if the furniture was not delivered broken and now my father needs to spend God knows how long with this broken furniture even longer because they can not reroute a truck that was no more than 20 mins out from when we got to the house this is what I call customer service oh and not to mention the $198 reshaping fee that they will now have to pay all I can say is Thank You! Read moreAbsolutely loved working with Monique! I was shopping for a very specific recliner that I saw on the website. I called the store to see if they had the chair in the store for me to try out. I was told yes they had the gray chair in my closest store in Harwood Heights. Monique searched the entire store (which is huge) to locate the chair. It was tucked away in an area almost out of sight. It took persistence and patience but she found it! Adam was helpful in guiding us through the purchase process. The only reason I didn’t give 5 stars is because of the expensive delivery fee:$190 for a chair that cost $300. Of course, this is not the fault of the store employees. They offer no option to have it shipped to the store for free for customer pickup (like LaZboy). There was a cheaper option: $50 and an unassembled chair in a cardboard box is dropped at your front door.

The staff at Ashley’s were professional and nice. They do NOT charge delivery fee for items under $500 and their prices and quality are much better than at Steinhafels. Steinhafels will charge you $50+ for delivery. Also, the after sale customer care is non existent.
Picked up cocktail table from their warehouse location in Vernon Hills. Upon opening the box, the table is visibly damaged/defective covered in white spots that do not wipe away. Contacted this location to ask for their delivery team to bring new table and pick up this one because they sold us a damaged product. Their response was “according to our policy you should bring it back for exchange”. So now I have to waste my time, gas, and cary this heavy table back to the warehouse because THEY sold me a defective product.
