Aloha General Store — Attraction in Oʻahu

Sad, disappointing service for a business in 2018, Hawaii. The workers seem to only really notice and want to give service to those customers who look like them. White guy wants in, starts talking with female worker and gets immediate service, while my party and another party (Asian couple) waiting patiently by the store's designated order area for service.

A white (mainland) lady behind us, asks out loud, in a tone indicating she is in a rush and would like immediate tending to: "Where do we order?" (not directed at us, tho we were visibly in front of her waiting for someone to provide us service to get our order in, again at the designated area the store has indicated with the "order" sign hanging above). Another (second) worker comes back to the counter to address the lady's inquiry and begins helping her. This second worker was previously up front when we first came in, finishing up with a customer and we anticipated him helping us next but instead he left to go to another part of the store.

Came in for a quick treat yet to be witness and experience no aloha, no inclusiveness in a business called Aloha...

Always expect legendary customer service from the employees here, especially Chris. Haleiwa has a lot of shave ice spots you can go to, including the infamous shave ice place where you wait at least 15 to 30 mins in line on a good day, but I'll always come here because I feel that this place literally has THE BEST shave ice. It's tucked away from the main road traveling through Haleiwa, but it's literally a diamond in the rough find because the store also has a variety of trinkets and souvenirs for a really good price out in Haleiwa. I admire the fact that the employees that work here will literally spark up a conversation with you as if you've known each other for ages! That's true aloha spirit right there. Thank you for always welcoming my family and I, and also acknowledging each customer that comes in... from the awesome shave ice quality and flavors to exceptional customer service that I've witnessed and experienced, this place truly exudes...

Well Im starting to wonder if this store amongst many others in the market place is part of drug dealing! I bring my children In to get shaved ice almost every week, I see this girl sitting in her nice blue car smoking what looks to be a joint- I lnow the smell- in her dress still had her name tag on with not a worry in the world with some guy, she just picks back up and goes right back to work im sure, Right in the parking lot. I wont be returning as the shaved ice is amazing it seems to me managment could careless about the people they have working for them and the looks it gives their store. Good luck maybe ill return when the staff is not...
