In my opinion, one of the most breathtaking venues on the island of Oahu. You don't need extensive decor because the grounds are so stunning. Has a phenomenal view of Oahu's west coast which means perfect sunsets every day. Keep in mind, your guests cannot go down to the ocean but bride/groom can go down for pictures. Since it's a cultural institute there are quite a few rules in place (nothing outrageous) to preserve the area but we were happy to respect them. I would recommend a planner that has worked there before who is familiar with the grounds/rules/team to make it easier. I love this place. Went here on an area complex school field trip with my grandchildren. Its was an amazing day. Rich in culture and its activities. We learned to make an Ipu, coconut shell planters and a bit of history on Hawaiian music and instruments that was used. The day was full of fun activities and great history. We learn so much.
