Wow! My fiancée and I made an appt. for the Magnolia Springs couple’s package; I’m going to share our experience start to finish.
Making the appt. was simple, I called on the phone and someone answered promptly, I even called back to change the time and was easily accommodated. I asked a few questions about packages we were interested in, which were also answered clearly.
When we arrived, plenty of street parking was available (zero stress there), clear instructions were posted on the front door (Covid protocols, etc), then we were ushered in by a friendly attendant, after having our temp checked and receiving a generous spray of hand sanitizer on our hands. The lobby/waiting area had a relaxing ambiance (we were the only ones in the room) as we each filled out a check-in form on a small computer.
We were then guided to our massage suite, which had two tables set up, some cute Valentine’s decor in the room, and large baskets to store our clothes and belongings during our treatment. There was a private, large bathroom with a shower, inside as well.
Our massage therapists entered the room once we were settled onto our tables; they greeted us, and asked what pressure we’d like to start with, reminding us to let them know if we needed the pressure adjusted at any time.
Both my partner and I thoroughly enjoyed our massages; my therapist was firm and worked diligently on built up knots that I’ve been accumulating for a long time. She checked in with me about the pain level, making sure I was comfortable. I felt significant relief almost immediately!
After the massage portion, our package included body scrubs and a yogurt face mask. Neither of us had tried this treatment before, but we now both promise we will be coming back for another sometime! The scrub was surprisingly relaxing too, even though it’s more vigorous than the massage. It felt incredible to be pampered this way!
When the treatment was complete, we were given clean fresh towels, and the shower was turned on and adjusted for us before we were gently led in. The therapists brought our baskets of belongings to the bathroom for us, so that we could get dressed once we finished showering.
We made our way back to the lobby, and were greeted again by the attendant, who gave us a promotional card for massage rewards, which you earn with each massage you receive. We checked out easily and were on our way home, happy and blissful! I spent the rest of the evening raving about how soft my skin felt, and it was an wonderful experience...
Read more2nd time here. Came back because I had one of the worst massages just 90 min before (at De Rest). I really wanted to relax so I came here for a 1 hour massage and was not disappointed. In fact, it made my whole weekend!
AMBIANCE: Location is in a residential area. They have two owned parking spaces in the back so if you can’t find parking on the street, you can call them and they’ll share the lot information/location. Otherwise, it was easy to find parking at 7:30PM on a Sunday. 3 story town home-style building with very clean rooms and amenities. Showers are available if needed and I like how you must remove footwear before entering the business so it’s very clean.
SERVICE: My massage therapist was Tom and he was GREAT! Right now, he only works on Sunday. I told him my situation: I just came from a 90 min massage and needed my shoulders and calf area worked on. He began immediately and right away noticed I was still tight so he did a lot of deep tissue techniques. Something unique was he placed me on the side where he really worked on my shoulder blades, rotating them and massaging out the knots. I’ve never had that done but it felt good. Without me telling him, he felt my back was tight so he even went out of his way to recommend a stretch that can help me relieve it after working out. He spent a good amount on my back and calf area so what was a 60 min massage felt like 120 min. I was super happy with the service and thankful for his knowledge in massage therapy and knowing how to read a person’s body.
PRICE: $85 for 1 hour with credit card. $75 if paying with cash. I like getting points and don’t carry cash so I prefer card. Even with that, I think the massage price is fair and I would come back to do the 90 min.
Overall, recommend Tom if you enjoy a deep tissue massage and someone who doesn’t follow a massage routine but can address...
Read moreOverall, I had a good experience at Magnolia. I booked a same day appointment which was very convenient. The employees were very nice. Rain was my masseuse and I highly recommend her. She knows the anatomy really well which results in her getting areas you didn’t even know needed to be massaged! If you need medium to firm pressure, she’s legit. She asked me if I needed any specific areas done and she delivered. She was very consistent with being even with both sides of my body. She did a combination of massaging over the sheet and using oil (it smells really good). Accessibility: There is street parking in the neighborhood. You have to go up a small set of entrance stairs to enter the business. It’s a split entryway so you have to go up a staircase to get to the waiting area and then another staircase to get to the spa rooms. The location is in a residential unit so there are a couple of bathrooms upstairs. They have a waiting area with sofas and a water dispenser. Some things that could be improved: the carpeting and laminate flooring are very worn. Since they have you remove your shoes upon entering, it does not feel very clean or pleasant when walking around inside. The laminate is pretty damaged and is very puffy. I could see that being a trip hazard. Before the massage started, I was laying down waiting and the masseuse rolled the table in a few different directions to adjust it. It was unexpected and made me slightly uncomfortable. The sheet that you lay on is a flat sheet that wasn’t tucked into anything so it was difficult getting in the prone position on the table without the sheet moving around all over the place. Besides those things, I would still recommend it and go back...
