I'll attempt to write in an unbaised manner. Rooms: I'm in an "non premium" double "non suite", which is spacious enough to fit my two toddlers, myself, as well as our nanny - with two double beds, and a pull out sofa bed with a partition and its own desk/work station, chair, and television. The bathroom is also well kept, cleanly, and smells fresh! I've had to call maintenance several times due to sink issues, air conditioning was not working (4 days), and I've forgotten the last reason. I'm here for government work, and have requested times when I'll be out of the room [to be serviced], and I'm still adjusting to the time difference but the moment I get back and fall asleep... "house keeping". I've called the front desk more times than I'm shamed to admit, and I'm truly not that guy. I've slept in the field for days with zero complaints.. other then my back - as I may be getting older then I've thought ha. Service: Breakfast & Dinner has yet to disappoint, and the staff in the dining facilities go above and beyond to make you smile, feel comfortable, and enjoy the ambiance. It's unfortunate this level of quality service hasn't extended to the front desk. Although there are only a few front desk personnel who have shown a level of passivity, as if it's not obviously seen or known. Note there is no dining options between 9:30am-5:30pm, but there are plenty of restaurants nearby and doordash is alive and well. Also note, if you're a diamond member this hotel doesn't take this into consideration to much. You'll need up upgrade rooms or buy a "premier package" to get a "tray refill" on the snacks in your rooms. Which I assumed were included since there's no dining options midday, or in other Hilton, or Hilton establishments, are included with Diamond membership. Walkability: Whether you have a big multi-kid family with several jogging strollers or one child, the area is incredibly safe and anxiety free to walk with your kids! One huge thing I've noticed, cars will stop and wait for you to clear the road if you're even at the sidewalk. This is a huge reason I'm considering looking at apartments in this area, as when you head closer to Honolulu cars will not stop or slow down and your parental anxiety levels will be Location: I'll be on island for 11-12mos, and just arrived. The island is absolutely stunningly gorgeous and I just witnessed a sunset in Aiea HI that put some of the most mind-blowing scenes to shame. Id say, the Location is based on personal preference, why you're here (business v pleasure), and what you're looking to get out of your trip. If you want that "[jersey] shore" feel where you are waking up to the scent, sound, and feel of the beach with all the tourist attractions; the location of this facility is not what you're looking for. If you'd like the suburban feels of peace, tranquility, safety & security [especially with young[er] kids], less hustle & bustle, a bit warmer & less touristy crowd, and a little less quality service, less fancy restaurants, and 'less access' to the beach (not to say you can't get to the beach, you absolutely can. It's just a drive/uber away, rather walking from your hotel room); this is the place for you. Personally, I enjoy the location, as it's away from the chaos of "the city" feel - nothing against the city feel, I've done Manhattan, Brooklyn, Philadelphia for undergrad & grad, and even DC for a stent - but I'm a [by]product of my environment and there's something about soaking up "the city" energy, but returning to tranquility, calm, and simplicity.... Overall: I'll likely update this a few times, as I'll be here for a while, but overall not a bad facility whatsoever. Service can be improved, rooms may need some updates, shouldn't have to argue with the front desk personnel over government rates/tax exempt status and snack delivery - after traveling 32 hours... but you will absolutely enjoy your stay, you'll enjoy the island, and you'll create wonderful memories! Absolutely beautiful place to stay on Oahu! Rooms are spacious and clean with modern decor. Staff members are friendly and eager to help in any way possible. Our favorite Amenities: *(Delicious) breakfast bar, complete with omlet station. Located inside Sprigs Grille. *Evening reception also located inside Sprigs Grille (snacks; such as crackers, veggies and dip, as well as 2 mixed drinks per adult) *Pool with waterfall (depths being around 4ft at the deepest point). Additional opinions: Although the pool is on the smaller side, we personally found it to be perfect for our family as we had it all to ourselves every time we visited aside from once when a friendly lady joined us. (I'm guessing most guests were out exploring the Island. However, as locals we were more interested in using our stay to relax as much as possible). Breakfast at the Sprigs Grille was AMAZING!!! Resteraunt style dining, delicious food, friendly wait-staff. Over all the people and atmosphere really capture the aloha spirit which we absolutely love. Constructive feedback: While the staff was extremely kind, there was one issue where i felt... almost tricked, although I do not believe that was the intention. I believe it was moreso lack of communication. Therefore, I do think that its important to mention in my review. I feel that it is important for staff to remember that things can be so different when traveling therefore communicating important details to guests can be critical. Tale my situation for example. Although I am a local, I left the island when I was 5 and I have only recently moved back from the mainland. Therefore, am still discovering parts of the island. This was my first visit to this hotel. My GPS brought me to a rear entrance which looks as if it could be a main entrance. When I asked about parking I was told "we do offer parking out back" and was given a green tag to hang in my mirror and given direction on where to park, which was in the same parking lot as the rear enterance I had initially come through. I then asked if I would need a second tag for my husband when he arrived in his vehicle and asked if there was a fee for a second vehicle so i could male him aware of what to expect. Only then was I told that there was actually a fee for the first vehicle as well. I later realized that there is plenty of FREE parking in the front of the building. Therefore, returned my parking pass the next morning and parked out front for the remainder of our stay. I was glad to have only paid for one day of parking. However, I feel that when asked "is there a specific place I should park?" Rather than the response I recieved, I feel a better response would have been, to explain options and any costs associated with each option as well as consequence for parking in the wrong area in order for each guest to make their own INFORMED decisions.

I am writing to express my extreme dissatisfaction with my recent stay at your hotel. From start to finish, the experience was far below acceptable standards. 1. Unclean and Unsafe Room Conditions: Upon arrival, I was shocked to find blood-stained curtains, hair in the bathtub, hair on the blanket, and a clogged bathtub drain that made the tub dangerously slippery. When I requested assistance, I was told that slipperiness was "normal" and was offered a bath mat as a solution. This is unacceptable and does not address the real safety issue. 2. Unhygienic and Inadequate Breakfast: By 7:30AM, the breakfast area had run out of fruit and bowls, and the staff refused to replenish them. The tables were filthy, and the entire area was poorly maintained. We ultimately chose to skip breakfast at the hotel and eat elsewhere due to the unsanitary conditions. 3. Inconvenience Due to Room Maintenance: I had to vacate my room for hours so that staff could unclog the drain and "treat" the curtains. Even after this, housekeeping never arrived to properly clean our room, despite my repeated reminders to the front desk (three times, to be exact). I had to personally clean the bathtub and toilet, as both were still dirty. 4. Lack of Communication and Poor Service: I provided my contact information to the front desk multiple times, yet no one followed up with me. Additionally, there was an attempt to charge me for parking, even though I didn’t have a car. The final straw was when staff showed up hours later to unclog the drain—long after my family had gone to sleep—startling all of us in the middle of the night. My family and I were forced to purchase our own cleaning supplies, including Lysol wipes, and even had to buy our own sheets and blankets just to feel remotely comfortable during our stay. This level of service is simply unacceptable. Given these issues, I am requesting a full refund for our stay. I have already called the front desk, provided my information, and I am awaiting a response. Please issue the refund as soon as possible and contact me to confirm the next steps. UPDATE: Reid has assisted me. Thank you for hearing me out.

Reviews of Embassy Suites by Hilton Oahu Kapolei

The Embassy Suites O’ahu Kapolei is a nice 7-story hotel in Kapolei on the West side of O’ahu. Not too far is the Ko Olina Resort. I stayed here in mid-September 2025, thinking it would be a great stop for the night. We paid around $255 / night before all discounts and fees. After the discount we used, the rate came to $187 / night. On a scale of 1 to 5 leis, from my stay, the Embassy Suites O’ahu Kapolei earns 3.5 leis. So now onto the pros and cons on why this hotel received 3.5 leis and why it didn’t get 5 leis.||PROS:||1. Large Rooms and Lobby: The first pro is the large rooms and lobby. Coming into the hotel, I felt free to roam around the area as there was a lot of open space. The Embassy Suites O’ahu Kapolei is an all-suite hotel. Our room had 3 beds, including 2 queen beds and 1 sofa bed. There was more than enough space in the room to put my bags and luggage. Each room has 2 TVs, great if you have a large family. ||2. Vast Amount of TV Channels: The second pro is the vast amount of TV channels available. The hotel has DirecTV, giving viewers like me access to hundreds of channels. I was able to watch many more minutes of not just Disney Channel, but also Disney Junior.||3. Free Breakfast and Manager’s Reception: The 3rd pro is the free breakfast and the daily manager’s reception. As this is an Embassy Suites, all overnight hotel guests receive free complimentary breakfast. The breakfast has plenty of items, from free water, juices, Coca-Cola sodas, and various cold and hot foods. They have an Omelet bar and rice to go along with the breakfast. The hotel also has Manager’s Reception daily from 5:00 pm-7:30 pm, where guests can grab free beverages and a light snack.||4. Modern Feeling of the Hotel and Rooms: The 4th pro is the modern feeling of the hotel and rooms. The hotel felt very new with a very nice hallway on each floor. There’s even a nice meeting room/loft on the 2nd floor where 1 can turn on the TV and access the 1,000+ channels offered on DirecTV.||Now as to why this hotel did not get 5 leis, there are a few cons.||CONS:||1. Location: The 1st con is the location. It is quite a ways away from many of O’ahu’s popular attractions. You will need a car if you stay here to access these attractions, as public transit in Kapolei is somewhat limited. The hotel is located right across the street from a large apartment complex. If you like it somewhere quiet and peaceful and are willing to drive everywhere, this would be a pro.||2. Parking: The 2nd con, like many hotels, is the parking. The parking costs $40 / night, which is pretty expensive. However, unlike the hotels in Waikiki, there is plenty of street parking around the hotel. Street parking is FREE 24 / 7.||3. Lack of Traditional Local Items at the Breakfast: The 3rd con is the lack of traditional local items at the breakfast. Other than the addition of rice, the breakfast felt identical to a breakfast I would get at an Embassy Suites back on the mainland. The breakfast could use the addition of Portuguese sausage, spam, and miso soup.||4. Staff Accessibility: The 4th con is the accessibility of the staff. When I walked in, I saw no one at the front desk and had to even knock on one of the office doors to get one of the front desk agents to assist with check-in. The hotel can do a better job on ensuring a staff member is always there to help guests at the front desk.||To sum it up, this is why the Embassy Suites O’ahu Kapolei earns 3.5 out of 5 leis from me. Would the cons prevent me from staying here again? No, I would for sure consider staying here again. The large rooms, DirecTV channels, and the modern feeling of the hotel would for sure bring me back. Who would I recommend to stay here? I recommend this hotel for those looking to stay somewhere away from the hustle and bustle of Honolulu and Waikiki, and for those who like free American breakfast. This hotel is a great stop for those making a multi-day trip around O’ahu. Overall, great job Embassy Suites and mahalo for making my 1 night away from Waikiki very peaceful...

Service can be improved, rooms may need some updates, shouldn't have to argue with the front desk personnel over government rates/tax exempt status and snack delivery - after traveling 32 hours... but you will absolutely enjoy your stay, you'll enjoy the island, and you'll create wonderful memories!

For reference: The sunset image is not taken nearby the Embassy...

Absolutely beautiful place to stay on Oahu! Rooms are spacious and clean with modern decor. Staff members are friendly and eager to help in any way possible.

Our favorite Amenities:

*(Delicious) breakfast bar, complete with omlet station. Located inside Sprigs Grille. *Evening reception also located inside Sprigs Grille (snacks; such as crackers, veggies and dip, as well as 2 mixed drinks per adult) *Pool with waterfall (depths being around 4ft at the deepest point).

Additional opinions:

Although the pool is on the smaller side, we personally found it to be perfect for our family as we had it all to ourselves every time we visited aside from once when a friendly lady joined us.

Constructive feedback:

While the staff was extremely kind, there was one issue where i felt... almost tricked, although I do not believe that was the intention. However, I feel that when asked "is there a specific place I should park?" Rather than the response I recieved, I feel a better response would have been, to explain options and any costs associated with each option as well as consequence for parking in the wrong area in order for each guest to make their own...
