Eagles Beachwear #27 — Attraction in Oak Island

I bought 2 adult t shirts, a kids t shirt and a hat As typical I failed to check the shirts for defects (I should know better since last year I bought a shirt with a hole in it too) needless to say yep one of the adult shirts had a hole in it. I took the t shirt in to exchange it on Aug 16th around 515 or so. I took the shirt to the counter and explained it had a hole in it, I had the receipt but no tag bc my son tried it on. The associate then proceeded to tell me it had stains on it, had been worn. I argued with him stating he only tried it on and it had NOT been worn. I guess he saw he wasn’t winning that argument and agreed to let me exchange I went to the rack and got the EXACT same shirt. EXACT same thing…he then tried to argue with me and tell me I had to pay more bc the shirt I was returning was a kids shirt. I said no it is not. It’s the same exact shirt. I said I have another shirt at the condo I bought that is the kids shirt. He then told me to hush and not be so loud…hmmmm excuse me?!?!?! Don’t argue with me and tell me #1 the garment is worn bc it’s got a hole in it, #2 if your customer is exchanging for the EXACT same thing don’t argue and tell them they have to pay you more! On the afternoon of August 16 2024 my Wife returned to this so call business to return a new shirt that not yet been worn due to a hole on the front side. As my Wife entered she spoke with a jerk of an employee who said the shirt had been worn which was not true and did not want to swap it out for an identical shirt even though she had the receipt. As my Wife tried to explain the situation with that so called employee, it over talked her and told her to hush. I'm sure of its name but it was wearing a green shirt, had dark hair and dark skin and spoke with an accent. Potential customers beware, before you visit this so called business look at the other reviews with one star and people having issues returning items. Do yourself a favor and go to beach life across the street. I hope nothing but the worst for that a hole so called employee. By the way, judging responses front the owner to other Google reviews I can sure you that nothing will be said to this employee as it seems nothing is posted other what can we do better? We'll it's written above so take action to your so called employee and take care of your business. BTW 35 one star reviews tells alot about this so...

We purchased four articles of clothing a week and a half ago, three shirts and one hoodie. Upon washing the shirts, one had a hole in it. The hoodie also had a hold which was never washed but worn once as a jacket. Upon providing the receipt, the clerk didn't want to honor the return (didn't want our money back just a return). She was extremely rude, said that washing a piece of clothing and negates the return. She also pointed out a 72 hour return only. The store doesn't want to honor returns of defective merchandise and I am sure most of us wash a shirt before wearing. Anything you buy from there, you need to make sure any washing or wearing of the garment will result in no return. Unprofessional, defective merchandise and deceptive return policy is what I experienced. The clerk finally allowed the return, told me never again and I explained that we wouldn't shop there.
