Oak Island Sub Shop — Restaurant in Oak Island

I frequent Oak Island to visit family and have always wanted to try out this sub shop. Family members of mine whom are local to the area have advised against this location due to past experiences. I decided to go against their judgment and give it a try anyways and I am so glad I did! I spoke with Craig during my visit, and I had mentioned that my mother is particular and hasn't visited this location in quite some time. His kindness and charisma immediately put me at ease, and, as promised the sandwiches were made fresh and TO PERFECTION!! Not only was the service I received exceptional to say the least, but the product was comparable to that of some of the best sub shops I've been to. Yall are Rockstars and you have certainly made a regular out of me and my family! I'll be seeing you soon!

Absolutely every time I try to order the shrimp salad they are out which would be ok if I was ever informed before allowing me to place my order. Three times now this has happened! There is no excuse. But instead I was made to waited as my other hot sub was being made before being notified! Not ok as our food would now be out at two different times. $21.00 for two 6 inch subs, two small bags of chips, and two drinks is overpriced! A lot of young staff that are very playful and not concerned with customer service! I’m giving one star as I was given a refund for the unavailable shrimp sub but at this point it’s too late! I’ve been a customer for twelve years and I’m very disappointed. Sadly you’ve lost my business...

Been going here for years, LOVE their subs, best in Oak Island! But I’ve always had a little wait but today was a horrible experience. I waited for 40 minutes for 1 sub!!! I do not even wait that long when ordering g a steak at the steak house. They were sorta busy but nothing crazy I thought. After my 40 min wait I was frustrated and ready to go because I was headed to the beach and now I’m almost an hour behind. Get my sub which was a simple sub turkey and cheese with banana peppers, onion and extra mayo. I get it and open it up and it’s wrong.
