Spent a week of vacation at Oak Island, and this restaurant was literally across the street from where we were staying. We decided to go and eat here before our vacation ended as there is not a lot of Asian restaurant options at Oak Island. We went at 7p for dinner and was told that it would be an hour wait. After waiting for 1 hr and 15 mins, we decided not to sit as a large group but break up our group so that we can get seated faster. The hostess/waitress was very nice, and it seemed like they were the only 2 employees besides the owner helping out front. Since we haven't eaten here before, we decided to order several items off the menu. We ordered the chicken crispy eggrolls, fresh spring rolls, and calamari as appetizers. The peanut sauce that came with the calamari was yummy! We asked for extra of that. Then to our entrees, we ordered chicken pad see ew, chicken and beef drunken noodles, red snapper with sweet chili sauce, a couple of dishes of fried rice, red curry dish and the crispy garlic chicken with garlic sauce on the side. Other than having to wait over an hour for seating and not getting our water refilled as needed, the staff was quite nice and we had a huge order and ended up staying an hour past their closing time. Food was good since it came fresh out of the kitchen and was authentic to taste. We forgot to ask for an itemized receipt, but our total bill was just about over $250. I think if I'm ever back in the area, I would definitely give this place a try again. Giving 3 stars overall for having to wait super long for a table and not getting water refills and getting our food very late as well.

I have dined in once and have gotten takeout 3 times and the food quality is excellent!! They opened less than 2 months ago in the middle of peak tourist season, so they are jammed full right after they open at 5pm. They are still balancing how many takeout orders to do vs preparing the dine in guest orders. I put in a takeout order of 1 dinner and 3 appetizers at 5:10 pm and was told it would be a 30 minute wait. Knowing this I planned on some grocery shopping. When I returned at 5:50 I saw the dine in dinners coming out and heard them tell a man at 6pm that no more takeout orders were available for at least an hour. I finally got my order at 6:05. I asked 2 times for the Pad Thai dinner to not be spicy, but it was too spicy for my house guest to eat. However her husband ate it the next day. I tried it and it was a little too spicy for my tastes. So give this new family run restaurant time to survive peak tourist season and balance takeout and dine in orders.

My wife and I tried out Thai and Vine and were very pleased with the food. We shared an appetizer order of crispy chicken rolls. They tasted very fresh and were very crispy-true to their name. I had the spicy basil with chicken and my wife had Chicken Pad Thai. We pretty much order the same dishes at all Thai restaurants, and I have to say that theirs was better than most others we have tried! The vegetables were crunchy and very fresh in the Spicy Basil and the seasonings were just right and not over done. The Pad Thai was also delicious! Our server was very attentive and very friendly. Give them a try if you haven’t already!

Went with some friends yesterday after being at the beach all day. When we came in there was no wait and a few open tables so we were sat immediately. A large group came in a few minutes after us and was sat down. A server came to our table as we were looking over the menu and asked if we knew what we wanted to eat. I order a few appetizers and began to give drink orders and he stopped me saying he didn't take drink orders he was just trying to get our food orders. This seemed odd because we just sat down and started looking at the menu let alone no one had gotten our drink order or even sent us water yet. Normally this would be fine but after some time passed we noticed the same server who didn't do drink orders over at the large party pouring them glasses of wine. A few minutes later a different server came by and poured us water but said she also didnt take drink orders that someone would be over soon to do that. Then what looked like a cook from the kitchen dropped our appetizers off. Which were delicious but I don't understand why no one would take our drink order while everyone else in the restraunt had drinks and bottles of wine on their table. We all wanted an alcoholic beverage so its not that we didnt want to spend the money, we always splurge when we go out. The whole experience was just strange and offensive. I know the food is great here but the servers needs to get it...

I let this experience fade for a couple days before writing this. This experience was terrible.

Came in Saturday evening right at open to get take out for four. Sis-in-law ordered right before me and we went outside to wait. 30 minutes later SiL got her food and the wife and I sat down inside to wait. And wait. And wait. We kept asking about our order and was assured it was next or coming up. We watched a section fill, eat and leave. We were becoming fairly pointed with our questions and the poor servers seemed just embarrassed. An hour and a half later (plus the initial expected half hour for a total of 2 FULL HOURS) we finally got our food.

We had asked earlier for a discount, it had been so long and told yes, they would comp some of the bill, so sorry and so on. When the time came to leave, the servers could not figure out how to discount the card. After another trip to the kitchen to get the manager, the poor server came back to say no discount was allowed, the manager would not come out to talk to us, and she could offer us a free beer. So much for paying early to speed up the process.

After taking our food, it should have been fantastic, especially since we were starving. Nope. Bland and boring.

If you made it this far, to summarize - just don’t do it. Go...
