I would have left them a zero but I didn't have that option. I brought two grandchildren there to jump. They have an air freshener there when you walk in. The door is really strong. As you pay for your things and you get closer to the play area, you can smell the cover up of a body order and feet. Within 2 minutes it made my 5-year-old cover his nose up with his shirt. I spoke to him and he said he wanted to leave. Also, I could taste it. I asked him and the 10-year-old to wait outside. So they didn't have to smell it. So I went up to the clerk and I asked to see the manager, and explain the situation to him. He told me before he could give me a refund that he had to talk to his GM, he went in the back, came back out and he said she's not going to do it because we have a policy of no refunds. Refunds. I asked him where this was that a person could see it before they purchased their tickets. He was very disrespectful. Went into the back and gave me a notebook and tossed it on the counter and said it's in here and I said really and how am I supposed to know that there's no refunds before I purchase a ticket and again he told me that his GM said no no refund. I asked to talk to her. He told me she was busy with a smirk on his face. (Which did not make me happy from a unprofessional 19-year-old). Explain to him that this was Sky zone business and that she should take care of it and come and see me. After persisting to see the general manager, he went to get her. I explained the situation to her, And she offered me two free passes. I politely told her that I was not going to accept them because I wouldn't be back here. The smell is just too bad. And she said I don't smell anything , that's all I can offer you. We don't have no refunds. Again. I asked her show me where it says there's no refunds. It's not posted anywhere. It's not anywhere where the public can see before they buy their tickets. She smiled at me and said that's just the way it is. By this time I was talking loudly and she asked me to leave and I said you may call the police and I'll be calling My attorney. She called the police and told the police that I tried to come behind the counter. (I'm almost 70 years old and 50 lb overweight. My jumping counters are in the past.) So that was a lie. So I waited for the police to come out and he got her side of the story . He got my side of the story. He suggested I call corporate. The general manager refused to give her name And said that we could only touch base with corporate through email. Which was a lie. I live six blocks from the sky zone and never had an issue. They put these air fresheners in that spray every 2 minutes thinking it will cover up smells. Sadly it makes things worse for kids that want to play and jump. After the police came, the general manager decided to refund one gameplay. Of a very expensive $33. Very disrespectful staff including the general manager. Which should not be. Needless to say I won't be going up there anymore. Sadly because there's not very many places in Oakdale where the kids could go and get some energy out. Without traveling a...
Read moreMy son with ASD was really excited about this membership. He had visited the Sky Zone in Duluth many times with his cousin, and it was top-notch. Because of his ASD, we also wanted the elite membership for fast pass access. After waiting for 20 minutes, finally, a woman from one line let us move ahead of her.
When I asked the attendant why we were not being helped as members, he said, “we only follow those rules sometimes when we feel like it,” with no explanation. He then began to assist us intermittently, leaving for other customers and returning after 5 minutes each time.
Mind you, he never once stated, “sir, we are only serving one line today.” He and the other two attendants just had us stand there.
Then, he said, “you know all of those people you cut in line to get up here are members too.” My response was, “please just stop making comments and assist us. I don’t want to have to escalate this to seeing your manager just to get my son in.” I was requesting him to de-escalate the situation.
He then simply turned, walked away, and went to a back office. Later, a young woman came out with the attendant who had walked away.
I asked if we could step away from the line and informed her that she didn’t need to come out because I never asked for her. She proceeded to say, “You are being hostile while children are present. We are asking you to leave and not return today.” Note, I never swore nor raised my voice at the attendant. Every time I tried to speak, she would interrupt, saying, “don’t cut me off. You are being hostile near children and you need to leave.”
I finally said, “this is crazy, please provide me with the phone number of the regional manager.” Her reply was, “No,” and she told me to go online and submit a complaint through the site. When I asked her name, she said “Kez.” I requested a pen and paper to write it down, but she refused.
It ended with me feeling humiliated, walking out with my boy. Luckily, without being prompted, he said, “those grown-ups were mean to you.”
I am humiliated, and I can never erase that memory from my boy's head.
We canceled our membership immediately. Sky Zone seems more interested in protecting individuals like the cruel Kez than ensuring their clients are treated well.
Additionally, my son was distraught the rest of the day. We do not act like that around him. He came home after we went to a bookstore and threw up on the kitchen floor.
Look at the comments about how this place is falling apart within the past three months, or how others are ignored in lines.
She is an evil woman for what she did to my boy and how he saw his father treated.
Enjoy one less membership payment from us, you’re ever so lovely “Kez” with fake blue eyes. I say this because I don’t even know if that is her name. Also, she has a 13 tattoo by her clavicle.
I hope Sky Zone goes under just for what...
Read moreOh man this place... How good it is GREATLY depends on how busy it is.
Overview Well- it's a trampoline park so that's cool. It serves its purpose. There is a circular pattern to it with a mega launch slide, foam gladiator pit, 2 open room sized trampoline fields, a ninja warrior course, a trick foam pit and a dunk section. In the middle of this all is a basketball court that is fun to watch or occasionally partake in. Everything is kind of sticky and there's at least one adult working there... I think? Idk I saw like 7 teenagers but assuming manager is over 18.
If it's not busy You can enjoy everything fairly easily. Not too many places for the kids to get hurt. Watching them fly off the slide into a giant pillow is a highlight. The Ninja Warrior section is really cool too.
If it's busy There are teenagers everywhere, the basketball court is DOMINATED by large teens that play the meanest game of basketball you've seen. They're actually quite good. Generally there is still room to play for your kiddos but it's dense and borderline musky.
Parties Roll a dice. Was the result even? You're gonna have a good time.
Was the result odd? Well in that case they're gonna lose a present that was stolen off the cart, someone's shoes are going to another room, the pizza won't get there cause the manager and them have a dispute, this will eat up your entire room time, which they will send an very sympathic teenager to tell you as they boot you from your party room with no food, then they'll offer to cook you food in-house as a substitute, you'll wait for that while in a different space than you booked initially because they felt bad for all the above. Oops turns out the pizza IS coming, they apparently figured out the trade war with a local pizza place. Oh and now the in-house food is coming too. Are the kids happy? Generally. Are the adults? Not so much. Could have waterboarded me instead and at least I wouldn't have left with tinnitus from kids screeching for food and an anxious af girlfriend. So like.... user beware? Idk take em bowling or go to...
