I'm updating this review, and adding an extra star, because the same day I originally wrote a review I was contacted by a staff member. They acknowledged that we did not get what we originally ordered. They worked with us to help us get one that was more like the original one we ordered. They went out of their way, and were very helpful in trying to make it right. The new one we got still did not look exactly like the original one, but it is very close and my husband is happy with it. Original review: Love their jewelry. The staff is very friendly and willing to work with you. Different from other jewelry stores in that they have you pick the design of your ring. I gave a lower rating because the finished product was not the item we had picked out. They said that they had to change one of the products they used to make our ring because those type of rings had been cracking with what they had been using. We had picked the items for our ring based on the colors. So when we got it the colors did not match. The product they changed was similar, but a different color, and thicker coloring. If they had contacted us BEFORE they made the ring not only would they have had happier customers, but they would not have wasted their resources making a product we didn’t want. They did resolve the problem for us but we’re still disappointed that we didn’t get the original product we ordered. When we went in again they still had the old product that we did not receive to on display to show to those ordering new rings. I directly mentioned that it shouldn’t be out there, and that they should be showing the one they are making now instead. They didn’t have any answer as to why they hadn’t changed that and still let us look at the one that’s not available anymore. Because of their unique jewelry I would like to buy from them again, but they need to improve their communication to costumers when there is a change in their products before I will consider purchasing...

I initially ordered this ring in July and was sent a ring sizing package prior to the ring being shipped. My partner and I had confirmed the ring size previously so I requested the ring. I was met with resistance by customer service to just start the process of making the ring with a warning that I would not get to resize unless I paid 50% of the cost of the ring. The sizing package showed up the same day, my partner tried the ring sizer and found that he was still a 9 by these standards as well as by the first sizing. So I confirmed the ring size to be a 9. I have a estimated shipping date of 8/15. After no updates for a while, I reached out to check and see if I would be notified when the ring was shipped so it could be tracked. I was told I would receive an update as well as a tracking link. When the 15th went and passed and I had still not heard anything, I e-mailed again requesting an update. I finally got a response on 8/18 that the package had been delivered two days ago to my mailbox. The ring had now sat in a black mailbox in 100 degree heat for two days because I wasn't notified. The package smells like melting epoxy as I open it and the ring/box is even worse. To top it all off, the size 9 ring which had been confirmed with two different kits does not fit my partners finger. All in all, I would most definitely go with a different company as my experience with this one has been extremely frustrating. To top it all off, we are due with our first child in 9 days so I don't have much time to start the back and forth with customer service again. I guess a silicone ring will do until we can afford a new one. I thought I had found the perfect ring for my partner but it turns out it's actually just going to be more of a hassle for us. From start to finish, shopping at Jewelry by Johan has been nothing short of an amazing experience. I am a Canadian customer who was looking into getting an alternative the the normal silver or gold wedding band for my Fiance. After seeing that they offered unique options like Dinosaur Bones, Meteorite pieces, as well as customizable colours and material, I knew I had chosen the right place ( fiance loves outer space). I placed an order with ease from their online site and was greeted with an extremely friendly email asking me to confirm my order information and ensure that the correct item was created. Shipping was fast and arrived before expected. It was awesome being able to pay duties upfront as it can sometimes be scary not knowing what it may come to... Now comes the fun part. I would like to note I am completely oblivious at times and with a wedding coming up, even more so. I realize once the wedding band arrived that I had selected the wrong customization. Totally my own fault. I reached out to the seller to explain what had happened and within 2 days I was able to securely return the ring I incorrectly bought back across the border for an exchange. Within 2 weeks from return shipment, I had already received the correct customized ring and am so appreciative that I was able to receive such amazing help with the mess I had created.
