Disappointed in our first visit to The Burrow to say the least. We hosted out of town guests and booked axe throwing & the karaoke room last night. Axe throwing was probably the highlight of the night, although extremely expensive ($20 per person for a 30 minute time slot). We did have a reservation for axe throwing at 6:30 although had to wait an extra 10-15 minutes due to the customers before us running behind (fine, I can deal with that). After axe throwing, we moved to the karaoke room which was also extremely expensive ($45 for an hour which ended ringing up as $51 dollars?). I was aware of the price for the karaoke room beforehand and was willing to pay although it was absolutely not worth the money. The music selection is very outdated and limited and not the easiest to navigate on your phone. The employee that was helping us did not show us how to use the strobe/LED lights. I went to the front desk and asked if they could help. The employee came back to the karaoke room to take a look and found that the battery was dead in the remote for the lights. It took him no less than 10 minutes to find a new battery for the remote for the lights. Once we got the lights working (only one set of lights ended up working) we asked if there was volume control for the TV/music. The employee stated that in order to change the volume, he would need to get the "tech guy" to go "up into the ceiling" to adjust the volume and left the room. One of the mics ended up dying in the middle of our reservation and needed to go switch out the batteries (I can understand this). The mic was also taped together... Lastly, our group looked into playing laser tag and we were told that only 3 out of the 20 laser tag vests were working. So, three of us played laser tag while the others did not. Come to find out, while playing laser tag, only 2 of the vests were actually working. It seemed like a lot of things were out of order, broken, etc. and after reading other reviews, this does not seem to be anything new. This place has a lot of potential but unfortunately, I will not be returning. I am more than willing to spend money for experiences that are exceptional. Our experience at The Burrow was subpar at best. Spend your...
Read moreUpdated (Jan 8th 2023). Only visit at your own risk, very in-consistent all around. I had to completely downgrade this review from a 4-star to a 1-star. All the pieces are there, and the potential is high, but it's not good enough. They have been "under construction" for over a year and a half, with certain area closed or restricted at every visit I've been there. Their card machines have been down on every occasion I've been there. On the most recent occasion, I had to buy a new card, but no one at the facility could figure out how to do it stating it was going to be impossible. They basically told me I couldn't play anything that night. We had to leave. Disappointing. I can not in good faith recommend this place at this time. Fix the basics (functional facility, functional computers, and competent staff) and you would have a great place.
_---------- Overall. This is a very interesting place. It merges both an adult area and a child area into this huge gaming place. There's ax throwing and a bar, next to arcade games for kids. It's worth a visit, I would definitely return.
Pros: Kid and adult entertainment at the same time. Two separate bar areas for drinks. They have a reasonably good food area.
Cons: This place is relatively newer. It was previously another play area, but the new owners must have updated it. The updates are great, it's just that some of the things that I wanted to do, were not operational yet. For example, their gift/ticket redemption center wasn't even operational yet, despite us having collected enough tickets for our intentes prize. Some of the rides aren't always available, due to staffing issues. This just meant that sometimes you'd wait around to get on a ride, or sometimes a ride/game just...
Read moreFirst off points per dollar isnt great to begin with but then again it never is anywhere. So we overlooked that and purchased 2 cards totaling $65. While it was a good time killer we used up most of our points pretty fast when the absolute lowest points the games take are 3 per try. Most are 4 and some are 8 per game with a win ratio of around 10 tickets usually. We liked playing crossy road and used MANY points there assuming we were always gaining our ticket score of around 50+ each time. When we went to check our points every time it said 0. I had also noticed this with the wizard of oz token push which costs 8 points per round. The sign only stated what each coin value was worth so i had figured every coin i pushed down was worth 5 tickets. No you had to get a physical coun from the machine and i got absolutely none from any of the coins i had pushed down. Now i will admit they did at least give us 200 tickets on each card however i know i had gotten more than that easily. So for $65 together we had 1059 tickets which 400 were given to us by pitty. Not many choices of prizes in that range so we ended up with 2 bow and arrows from the dollar store a pop toy thats about a quarter 1 jolly rancher and a sqush toy which is 1 dollar so a whopping 4 dollars. Now i understand most places use these types of toys but its just bad when thats all $65 could get. Thee old company Big Thrill Factory was at least better with pricing and how much each game was they had games that were 2 points and not always 4 per game minimum most of the time. They also had better prizes for the points they wanted and it wasn't impossible to get up in the thousands after about $30 over all pretty bad experience with the system and pricing and wont...
