This will probably get deleted by the owner but here goes it.
My friend was recently diagnosed with a life long illness. His birthday is coming up and instead of doing the usual dinner and bowling, I wanted to take him to a rage room to blow off some steam. My other good friend found this place and sent me the link. I went ahead and booked the reservation. Come to find out it’s located in California, not New York, where we live. That was a mistake on my end, however, I was completely taken aback by how terrible the owner was.
Reservation was booked at 8:23pm and I called at 8:29pm and kindly asked for a refund as I paid $249.66 which to me is not a small amount of money. He asked if I had reviewed the refund policy (which you have to go digging for) to which I replied no and that I hadn’t seen it. He said that it’s not fair to his other customers who would want to book, which made no sense because there was another time slot available for another party of 6….and I had just made the reservation not even 5 minutes before I called. Long story short, my partner got involved after hearing this man say he’s taking our money and running. Luckily the credit card company is looking into this. I’m not one to leave bad reviews because I know some customers can be awful. However, there’s a difference between being a business owner, and just owning a business. Save your money, you never know where...
Read moreLooking for a unique way to blow off steam? This rage room in Oakland is the ultimate stress reliever! My friend and I tried the King and Queen Smash package, and it was an absolute blast - literally! For 45 minutes, we got to smash electronics, glass bottles, and more while jamming out to our favorite music. It's cathartic, energizing, and surprisingly fun.
The offer a variety of packages including smash sessions, splatter paint experiences, and even axe throwing.
The staff were super friendly and welcoming. Upon arrival, we signed a waiver and were geared up with protective equipment - gloves, hard hats, and goggles. You get to choose your weapon of destruction: baseball bats, golf clubs, crowbars, bell mace, sledgehammers...it's like being in your own action movie.
Closed-toe shoes are mandatory. Wear clothes you don't mind getting dirty. Things get messy - it's the best way!
The 45-minutes fly by, so make every swing count. Choose your basher and go wild!
Be sure to read the policy prior to booking to avoid surprises!
Whether you're looking to de-stress or just try something totally different, this...
Read moreTHIS PLACE WAS BOMB. Whatever you do, ADD A WINDSHIELD. The gift that keeps on giving!! I kept banging on that thing the entire time. The staff was so polite (and wildly relaxed, haha). The only thing was I didn't really find a list of rules, expectations, or recommendations. You'll wear a helmet, glasses, and gloves, but you might consider long sleeves and pants that tuck into shoes. There is a bin to put your items in in the room, but there wasn't a lid, so you might want to cover that with a towel etc. Our door was closed, but you can also hear people next to you (not an issue for me). The next day you'll probably be sore if you haven't done any swinging, hammering, or chopping in a while, so plan your recovery accordingly. I smashed most of the time, and my grip strength and forearms needed rests. 45 min is plenty of time for 2. I got the smallest package but added a windshield. The bottles can go fast, but there is some play with the electronics, but the windshield kept me SUPER busy and satisfied. I wouldn't get the small...
