This is a terrible place! We were all excited to celebrate a birthday here today. No one in our large party had ever been. It looked like a really cool place. But looks are deceiving. The service was horrible! For as expensive as the party was...they shouldve been on top of it. But just about every single part of the party was forgotten about until we went and said something every single time. When we finally got in to play...we had to ask where our party was supposed to be. None of us had ever been here before. There weren't tables set. There was noth jng that screamed this is your party table. There was supposed to be balloons on the table but apparently they ran out. We were supposed to get a ride token for each child. We had to go ask about that. The drinks we were supposed to receive..we never got until we asked and even then the people working was confused on what to give us. We were supposed to have endless candy the entire party but didn't receive any until the party was almost over. Like 20 min before we were supposed to be done. We had to leave it because we didnt have anything to bring it home with us in. Which should've been an option since the staff messed up. We then had to ask about the goodie bags...which they had completely forgotten about. They said they forgot then went to the back and didn't come back out for awhile. So just left us waiting with no other comment of them going to get it or anything. When asked about the birthday child's gift...the lady was completely clueless. She goes to the back then comes back out and asks if we had been helped yet. She seriously just had a conversation with us 30 seconds ago then walked away from us without it being resolved. They eventually brought out the goodie bags after people had already left. We were told the tables were supposed to be set before arrival and they failed to do so. A few of us had to change diapers before we could leave and got told in the process that we had to leave right then or we would be charged more. So we had to finish doing diapers in the parking lot in our cars. It was so wrong. We picked up after ourselves. We didn't leave a huge mess. The place wasn't where busy during any of our party. It was ridiculous. All of it. We will never return. And we will continue to let others know our bad experience. We dont want anyone else to experience what we did. The whole party was super upset with how we were treated and how poorly done the party was. Such a huge...
Read moreGreat indoor playground BUT don't do the birthday party meal or snack parties until they figure out vendors and what is actually included. If you go to their website, it says there is pizza and cake included in the meal plan but they have no pizza or cake vendor. We booked a party in April for June because they said we can check later and plan around what they have then. We called two weeks prior and after 3 separate calls from staff and management without knowledge the other called we got 3 different answers with no vendor for either. We got a discount for the cake but it sounded like we could buy our own pizza at the meal price with a $3 discount per child and order/deliver ourselves. They asked if we liked dragons for the parade (per their website) we said yes but no dragon appeared. Unlimited candy and juice per their site was just a bowl of gummy bears and a jug of apple juice. The flames are a joke because one motorcycle was running the others would take your flames but not run. Never got a credit for that. It's not worth almost $300 for one ride per kid on a motorcycle. They do offer admission all day for guests and a return voucher, which helps.
As I said earlier, the indoor playground is great. There's plenty of tables, high chairs, clean equipment and a playground for babies/toddlers and one for older kids. Parents can generally fit through anything except some rollers. I would not put a kid younger than 3 on the older equipment. The slide is 2 stories tall so supervise heavily at first. They have a gate so kids can't run out. Also, wear grippy socks. Kids would run a corner fast and slip where their heads hit the wood floor. No shoes allowed inside but they provide plastic baskets/lockers for shoes...
Read moreMy 4yr-old son Brooklyn & I have been going to Kids Empire Olathe 4 "date night" pretty much weekly since he was 2. It is the ABSOLUTE BEST PLAY PLACE OF ALL out here in Olathe I believe 4 a myriad of reasons: •The staff there, led by Mgr. Josh, are a REALLY GR8 group of people who go out of their way to engage w both parents but moreso the children! Always talking to them, very caring presence & approachable, there 2bring them an ice pack if ever needed, give away a left behind balloon from a bday party : just all R very kind & patient & will sit down & take a lil time to acknowledge the kids, get 2 know them a lil bit if they can. Is Very much different from other places. •As u can see from the myriad of pics I've already put up on this site : in at least 3 of them,my son is kicking it w 1 OF THE EMPLOYEES, & NOT ME & HAPPILY! They are simply a VERY kind, funspirited & hardworking group of people & the way they have been so helpful & friendly to my4yr old son Brooklyn (whom has a speech delay):That alone: almost reason enough 4me to come back. • At this point, I can go use the restroom & know that they have complete control over the room & the exit & are alert & aware to everything that is going on & feel totally safe w my son in their hands 4 a few minutes EASY! They even include Brooklyn in2 their work TASKS 4 he enjoys talking to them so much & will just follow them around wanting to chat & play. Its truly VERY SWEET. • As a BONAFIDE germaphobe: Its always sparkling clean in there! I second the lady who posted seeing Josh on his hands & knees just scrubbing the floor... he's legit an EXTREMELY hard worker & they are VERY LUCKY...
