Had a wonderful day just walking around the lake and taking the pathway up to see the State Capitol. It was beautiful with great views all around. Very clean park, not too crowded, plenty of room to sit for a picnic or run or walk or simply sit. Nice to park for free for up to two hours, However if someone wanted more time they could park a bit away down the street that parallels the lake on Deshutes road, from what I could tell, the parking is not only free but doesn't have a limit in time, so assuming the normal park hours would then be applied. Restrooms open till dusk. And is the start of a walking/jogging trail around lake. Ample parking, no gate at night well lit lot. The walking bridge is beautiful and runs parallel to the old railway bridge.
