Heritage Park is a true gem in the heart of the city, offering a safe, clean, and picturesque environment for outdoor enthusiasts of all ages. One of the standout features of this park is the well-maintained walking and biking path that encircles Capital Lake. Whether you prefer a leisurely stroll or an invigorating bike ride, this path provides the perfect setting to enjoy the beauty of nature while staying active.

The views around Capital Lake are simply breathtaking, with the majestic Capitol Building standing proudly in the background. It's a scene that never fails to inspire awe and appreciation for the natural and architectural wonders of our city.

As a parent, I particularly appreciate the family-friendly atmosphere of Heritage Park. My kids love nothing more than biking along the path while I take a leisurely walk, knowing that they're in a safe and secure environment.

In summary, Heritage Park is a shining example of everything a public park should be: clean, well-maintained, and accessible to all. Whether you're looking for a peaceful retreat or a fun outing with the family, this park has it all. Highly recommended for anyone looking to reconnect with nature in the heart...

Very nice. Beautiful, but where was any bathrooms? Afraid of the trouble with the homeless, as I saw plenty! (Been there done that, so, we need to go to the rest room too!, Not homeless now. Thank God 🙏) First time seeing, only back in parking spaces.? Wasn't familiar with the parking meter. Thought, why have a coin slot, pay on pH app? Thought unfair. Then saw, way @ the bottom of meter, after I put in ,25 cents & didn't see it register on the display. Confusing. Why not? Found out 75 cents, for 1 hour. My friend said don't put anymore ,$ in it, we are not staying an hour, as it said. He pro- rated it, 25 cents for 20 mins. A 3rd of 75 cents Lol. He stubborn, I didn't want a ticket. It was my car! & Sorry, your bookkeeping record books, won't balance, as you'll be over 25 cents. 👍😎🗞️🚣🚏🚗. Please don't send me a...

The park itself is nice. However, this 5 star is strictly just for the park itself it's a beautiful walk on a nice day. I do not, however, care to visit when Lakefair happens because it has gotten so ridiculously expensive. 1 star for that. Each ride is like 12 or 13 tickets each, and the cheapest amount you can get is $20 for 34 tickets. That's about 2 rides unless you take a date and you and your date go on the same ride and use one ticket card, then that's about 1 ride for $20. On top of that, you gotta get something to eat and maybe get an elephant ear or cotton candy, which is also very expensive. Unbelievable! It used to not be that way now it is. That is why I do not go to Lakefair anymore, plus I fly airplanes, and that's better than any...

Took the Heritage park trail up to the State Capitol building. It’s a fun walk up! It zigzags across a hill, but there are many shortcuts you can take. The view from the top is nice. There is lots of parking and there are meters at each spot. Put some money in, but then noticed that nobody else did. There were no signs to indicate if it was free or how much it was. Wanted to use the park bathroom, but it was filthy and there was a homeless person with a needle. Walked across the lake and it smelled like it was rotting. Not sure if it’s the algae or fish or what it was. It looked pretty dirty. The trail to the Capitol was the best part of our walk.

This was really nice. There is parking around the park. But also Olympia parking is free on Saturdays and Sundays, which made it very convenient. I walked around the whole lake in about 30 minutes. It’s interesting that it seems to be very much not an activity lake. There is no way to get into the water for paddle boarding or any other kind of water sports. It seems very nanny like to also have signs about how the shock of cold water can kill. I mean, really. Should we be scared of lukewarm water now? but anyway it was a nice place. I recommend walking around it particularly in the evenings when it’s not as hot.

The view of the State Capitol building and lake from here certainly does not disappoint. Come around mid-afternoon or later for the best photos. There's free parking by the park entrance and we didn't have to wait for a spot. I noticed what I thought were homeless people as we were walking around. They kept to themselves and didn't bother anyone.
