I signed up my email in order to receive the 10% off code as I was going to order 2 kayaks. I received my code and went to place my order with the in-store pickup option. It was the last day that they were running a promotion for $20 off $100 or more purchase, which is automatically applied. Upon entering my code, I receive an error that says "Invalid Code". There is NO option to remove the automatically applied code as the 10% off deal was a better deal. I then email customer service and they tell me that two promotions/coupons cannot be applied. This makes sense, but they should have an option to remove one in lieu of the other.
I wait until the $20 promotion has ended and go to order with with the code. It still says "Invalid Code". I email customer service again and they say my option is to place the order at full price and then contact customer service again and they will refund the 10% or order via telephone, giving my credit card information to a representative (no thanks).
I email yet again asking if they can just generate a new code for me to which they respond that they can't generate a new code through email, but I should contact customer service via telephone and then they can give me a new 10% off code. By this point I've wasted about an hour of my life for something that should be straightforward.
Upon calling, they tell me that they can not generate discount codes with an in-store pickup. This makes absolutely no sense. My only options are to pay full price and they'll reimburse me the 10% if I call back. At this point, any trust I have in this company or their customer service reps has depleted.
If they would have told me this upfront, I would have signed up with a different email to generate a new code, rather than wasting a lot of time going back and forth with customer service. I will never again shop at Dick's and I highly encourage everyone to do the same.
As a customer, you shouldn't have to try so hard in order to buy something. A good user experience makes the sale seamless, it doesn't put more hurdles in your way. I am extremely disappointed with...
Read moreI purchased a coat online an Triple C Parka that was $377 after taxes and was under the impression the coat was on sale for $171 as it appeared to be the same exact coat online as they look identical and are both black. I came to the store Tuesday in regard to another purchase and was told they would honor the online price. I came to Dicks on Friday the same week at 4:57 pm and spoke with Verenice and she stated the coats are two different colors black so that price wouldn't apply to the coat I ordered. As I'm voicing my frustrations and said out loud maybe I should just return the coat Verenice shrugged her shoulders in front of me as well as other customers. I obviously already paid for the coat and would have lived with the price but her shoulder shrug shows how little this store cares about their customers dollar and how un valuable we the customers clearly are. When I called her out on it she shrugged her shoulders again and said I mean what you want me to do in an sarcastic voice. Yikes do not shop at this store terrible customer service. I mean she did offer to give me $20 off the coat, but her lack of concern speaks...
Read moreThis place is terrible. I bought two nice golf shirts last week that we're supposed to be on sale. The cashier rings it up and tells me it's $119. I paid the money. And by the time I get home I realize that I paid way too much. But I like the Nike shirts. I come back today to buy a couple more golf shirts the sign says buy one get one free huge red and white sign with 10 inch letters on it all the shirts on the rack or the same. I picked two and go up to the cash register and she tells me that that's not buy one get one free. In fact the two shirts that I picked out are not on sale at all. Her exact response was quote if you read the fine print... I was totally disgusted told her I don't really give about the fine print and walked out I'll never be shopping here again. I've never had a shopping experience this...
