One of our kids purchased a nice size (Lg) Healthy Hermit Crab that was in need of another Shell to move into & she was sold a shell just a bit smaller or maybe a smidge of the same size. She bought him with a broken shell that should've been replaced 3 or 4 day's earlier but wasn't. So our only complaint is, the sales person should've known to help her find a Shell the same size or larger rather than one she bought for this crab & she couldn't use it bc of being too small & could not get into it. She was sold a Tiny Terrarium to home this Lg. 2" Plus Size Hermit Crab in & given a itsy bitsy piece of sponge the size of a dime for his water. No instructions on how to care for him, or how to keep his cage clean or what to use to clean it out. She loves her Crab & is happy with her purchase otherwise. The terrarium was definitely a bad move to sell to someone who's inexperienced in owning a Hermit Crab, not to mention (No offense to the Sales Person at "Souvenir City of Orange Beach") seeing how easy it was going to be to make a quick sale especially to someone that didn't know what all she would need to buy. That's where the salesperson should help the customer with the right needs & sizes, it would've been a bigger sale if the employee had known what to do. If only better training in sales, knowing what you sell & how to talk to the customers. We will buy again on our next trip to the Beach. Have a...
Read morePositive Update 10/21/2024: I would like to thank the store manager, Kolby, for taking the time to go out of his way for making this situation right. Yes, it took a bit of time, but he admitted that it was handled incorrectly and did what was right, quickly taking the initiative to correct it. He requested Ray-Ban to replace my wife's glasses and Ray-Ban did. Thank you, Kolby. Your customer service is greatly appreciated. When I'm in the area again, We will drop by for a visit. Respectfully, Nico!
Visited Souvenir City of Orange Beach on Memorial Day weekend this year and purchased some Ray-ban sunglasses for my wife. 3 weeks later while back in Texas. The screw in the arm snapped in half and half the screw stayed in the arm - clearly a defect. I called Souvenir City and spoke with a manager. Long story short, manager said Ray-ban would have to replace or fix, and then Ray-ban said because I purchased at the store they would need to replace. I was told by management that I would get a call back to assist me in who I could call to get this situation fixed. Never heard back: Learning experience. Purchase Ray-ban's directly from Ray-ban, not a...
Read moreDisclaimer: I am a man. Men do not understand the "browsing" element of shopping - we go to a store for one item, purchase it, and leave quickly, like a surgical missile strike. Souvenir City is the antithesis of that behavior, encouraging shoppers to slow down and pensively peruse cheap knickknacks and tchotchkes that they didn't know they needed. The main trouble with this shop is that it is not cheap enough - both in quality and price. When I go souvenir shopping on a vacation, I want cheap, low-quality goods for next to nothing. Souvenir City tries too hard, selling upscale decorations next to swimwear and boogie boards, but falls short. No one needs a jar of sand with their name on it, no one needs a pewter sand dollar paperweight, and no one needs chintzy water wings. If this store would put in less effort and sell cheaper, poorer-quality items for a worthwhile price, I'll gladly fly 3000 miles back here to...
