We are out of town guests and decided for something quick and easy. The cook on duty, Josh, was super slow and not very customer friendly. He stood at the refrigerator and literally threw a dirty, wet towel across the dining room onto a customer’s plate of food. The towel landed in a customers plate & he then said he was trying to “kick it into the dirty basket”. This was absolutely a straight up lie. I watched him purposely throw the towel. It was a group of older teens and the young man said something to him & actually was reasonable. (I would not have been as composed.). Josh made a smart comment back to the young man and the young man still just laughed it off and asked if he could have a waffle for his troubles. Josh again made a nasty comment to him and at this point the young man used profanity. I could see this situation was escalating. I politely asked the young man not to use profanity because we had 3 young children. He immediately apologized and was very sincere. Luckily, the situation deescalated. Apparently, this was not okay with Josh. He made an effort to walk down toward the table, away from the cooktop, to engage again. He was pointedly trying to antagonize the customer again. Not only was he rude and looking for a fight with the customer, but he was also nasty to the two ladies working with him. We finally asked for our food to go in order to get out of there. Honestly, the young customers handled themselves in a manner better than I would have if that had happened to me. They paid for the food even though he couldn’t eat it. I was absolutely stunned that this situation didn’t escalate into a something much worse. Josh should be relieved of his duties. He is not only a poor cook he is also a poor representative for...
Read moreWhile visiting Orange Beach for a soccer tournament, we went in to order togo. The place was busy so we were told, after standing without being greeted for some time, that we had to wait in line with the people waiting to be seated. Back home in Louisiana we frequent Waffle House during busy times and have never been told this. Don’t you order togo so that you don’t have to wait? We decided to wait anyway. Since we saw 2 seats at the bar we decided to sit there while we waited. Once seated we were told very rudely by the manager Whit Love that we could not sit since we were ordering togo. So, I have to wait in line with everyone else, but I can’t sit like everyone else? I have to stand in the corner like a kid in timeout while I wait? Ok, we’re in no rush, so we decide to eat our food there and take the rest of our families food togo. The waitress Casey Marie and Whit Love were very rude, very blatantly talked about us to other workers, did not check on us during our meal, and we had to flag Casey down to get what we needed while Whit walked right passed me with my hand raised trying to get her attention. I would hate to think it was a race issue, but we were the only people of color so make your own assumptions. 🤷♀️ The food was typical and the children enjoyed it so props to the kitchen staff. The hostess was friendly as well as the cashier, but please let your staff know that all money is green and spends the same. I’m usually a GREAT tipper, but only when it’s...
Read moreThe food was good and our waiter was great even tho she was in training and her boss would come and check everything after her. Im giving it 3 stars due to when paying for our meal we gave another young lady, the cashier, 50.25, our meal was 35.20. She dropped the 25 cent after handing it to her which i guess cause her to miss enter the amount we gave her. Instead of asking what was wrong and letting us explain the whole thing with her miss pushing the amount causing her to shorten our amount to give back, by only 1.05. She just instantly went in defense mood, talking to another worker, saying how she didn't mess nothing up and saying more things. Didn't try to take the money or let us show her the mistake or nothing so when the manager came I explained to him that she enter the wrong amount and gave the wrong change. I guess he was frustrated or just didn't understand what I was saying because he overpaid me back. After it took him a good 4 minutes of looking at the miss printed ticket, me saying sir she just shorten us 1.05, and hin saying if he give a $5 bill instead of just adding a dollar to the 4 ones the young lady gave would be better for me to count or something. And the young lady still on the side talking, we really couldn't understand what she was saying a little, and having a...
