I will start out by saying, the location is great! If you are looking for a family friendly atmosphere this is it. I only rated a 1 based off of our rental unit. Had the unit been updated and throughly cleaned, I would have rated a 5. We stayed in the west tower, in unit 905.
Overall the resort is good however, be aware of the unit you rent. The units are individually owned, so you never know what you are getting. Before booking, all the reviews were great and I didn't see a review for this unit. 905W unit requires major help and for the money we paid, this was not worth it. When I go on vacation, I like to feel comfortable and this unit had me concerned about lice, bed bugs and any other disease you can think of. All of the furniture was soiled, dated and needed to be thrown out. The furniture looked like someone was getting rid of it and put it on the curb for disposal and someone drove by and picked it up. There was no way I was going to sit on either couch or allow my family to sit on it. We grabbed a sheet from the linen closet, which had somebody else's hair on there and draped it over the couches. In bedroom 3, both of the comforters had stains and the box spring had a stain that looked like blood. The dining table was glass, which someone had folded some tissue in order to keep the balance. A screw was missing from the base of the table, which presented a major safety hazard for our toddlers.
My family went and purchased sheets and towels even though they were already in the unit. Overall, the space of the unit and location of the property was perfect, but the condition of the furniture/linen was unacceptable. I'd come back to Sea Chase if we were able to stay in a unit that was up to date and cleaned.
**The best thing about 905W was the view and wrap...
Read moreMy friend rented 1105C. We were highly disappointed in this condo. We found Cheerios on the floor when we arrived. There was hair in the sink. The master bedroom needs a new mattress. It's super lumpy. The tiles on the balcony are lose and cracking. The furniture is dirty. The rugs have big stains on them. Showers in both bathrooms have mildew in cracks and the master bath is actually missing some tile. We pulled out the toaster and it had to be from the 70s. Which is fine if it worked but it didn't. Washer doesn't agitate which means none of the clothes actually get clean. Cabinets and drawers cracking. The view is the big draw. You really can't beat it. The last time we came we stayed at the Phoenix. It was better quality for a lower price. Suggestions would be to take some of the rental money and invest it back in to this condo. New mattresses, new appliances, fix the tile and maybe do an upholstery clean on the furniture. When someone rents your property they want to come in and feel like it's a clean place for them and their children especially during the middle of a pandemic. Instead we ended up getting Lysol having to Lysol everything down. Sweeping the floor and going out and buying a new Skillet because the one that they had there was Tiny and everything stuck to it! We are moms, we come on vacation not to have to clean or worry about where we're going to have to wash laundry, we just want to relax and have a nice time with our family! Also, the pictures on the listing for this condo look nothing like the condo we got. Pointers. Leave a list of the TV channels, get...
Read moreSeachase is our go to family vacation spot in Orange Beach! It has became our yearly tradition to rent a condo here. It is always clean and kid friendly. They have 4 pools for kids and adults, one being inside. They also have a kiddie pool with a water feature and then a splash pad. They also have 3 hot tubs. There is plenty of seating by each pool as well. You have direct access to the beach with 3 boardwalks away each building. We always rent 2 lounge chairs and an umbrella for the week from the company on the beach. For 5 days it runs about $155. They are so nice and will move the big umbrella around for you throughout the day wherever you like. We generally come the week before Memorial Day so it isn't that crowded. It really is a wonderful place to stay. You do get 2 parking spots for each unit but will have to pay $25 for a second set of keys which is my only complaint about Seachase. We prefer units in the west building but have stayed in the other 2 building and they have been great as well. Rent a corner unit if you can, they have the biggest balconies which is a nice bonus when you stay here. Long story short, you should stay here, especially if you have smaller kids or are just looking for a more low key family friendly resort! It's well maintained, clean, and a safe place to enjoy your vacation. There is also a Walmart Market, Dollar General, and Publix right across the street.
Oh, and go eat at Bubba's - you'll love it! Lulu's is also great for family fun, but get online and get your name on the list so the wait isn't as long if you plan on...
