Today I went to face tea to meet my sister so we could have a moment to enjoy our tea together with my niece and catch up. We ordered around 1:06 and the business wasn’t extremely busy, we watched people come in and order after us and leave, they were treated with respect, curtesy and handed their orders and confirmed, however in contrast our order was not even started until we asked how much longer would we have to wait for our drink at this point it was 1:20. The young lady at the register Niomi, was dismissive and stirred up contentions by saying they were just now beginning our order, her excuse was that she gets the orders completed in the order that they come in, which was false seeing as several other customers had come in placed their orders and left with their drinks before ours were even started. I watched her place a drink on the counter and walk away never acknowledging us or saying hi this is your drink no regard whatsoever for us as we stood waiting patiently. At 1:26 my sister asked for a refund after she realized the tea that was sat on the counter was her, as if we were unwanted customers. I waited for her to finish my tea, when it was ready once again no acknowledgment whatsoever and she did not even grab the tea from her coworker who had prepared it . I waited nearly 5 more minutes before she finished her conversation with another customer who came into the business after my sister was told she would receive a refund to her card. When she finally handed me my drink I told her that I understand sometimes you get busy or lost in your own world but if a customer is having to experience a long wait for three drinks the courteous thing to do would be to apologize for said wait and get the drinks out to us in a timely manner, instead Niomi was dismissive and stated this was not applicable to her as she just was going “in order” . It is worth mentioning as well that we were the only “brown” or “black” people in the establishment. This was my first time going in to order my tea instead of placing my order online and picking it up . Truly just a horrible experience and poor customer service all around . Please get this issue handled as we do enjoy FaceTea and would hate the have to boycott the establishment simply because of racism as well as cultivating an environment that lacks empathy and...
Read moreLove this place! I have been coming here for about a few months. I’m leaving this review because I had the most amazing service! Davi is absolutely amazing! So I have a brain disorder and one of the symptoms is fear of trying new things. I was very nervous of trying the Poké bowl. Davi was familiar with me already and I let her know I wanted to try it. She let me sample some of the ingredients like the sauces and wrote notes on my order form of what I wanted on the side. The idea was I could try different things instead of them being on the meal. I had about 7 sample containers and two bowls(one being the salad and the other being rice… to determine if I liked one over the other as my base). I told her I was very thankful for her and she said she understood what I was going through. She then said I should reward myself with a boba and took my picture for the wall. I felt proud of myself and having that encouragement that I can do it was amazing. Plus I appreciated how most of the ingredients were on the side so I could pick what I did and did not like. I will definitely be getting another Poké bowl again!...
Read moreWas super excited to finally see a poke bowl restaurant close enough to me to be on DoorDash, but unfortunately it sort of let me down. I will give the poke bowl some praise, they have a lot of topping/sauce options, and the bowl tasted good (though they forgot to add the cream cheese I ordered), but the popcorn chicken and takoyaki were pretty disappointing. The popcorn chicken was not very crispy, the chicken quality was subpar, and they were a bit over-seasoned as well. Not even reheating a few in the air fryer (which usually works wonders on mediocre chicken) could save them. And the takoyaki were mostly all dough, virtually no octopus, and the toppings were pretty scant. This was really closer to a 2 star meal, but since the poke bowl is the most important part of the meal, and it was solid, I’ll bump them up to 3 stars.
Edit: ordered a second poke bowl and it was very good! Though, be aware, if you order “rice crackers” as a topping, that apparently means Frosted Flakes, which is not a problem because they are tasty, but certainly not what I was...
