On Valentine's Day my daughter decided to take my granddaughter and I to dinner. We were told it could be an hour wait when we made the reservations, but once we arrived we were seated within 10 minutes AND THEN THE EXPERIENCE BEGAN!!! Luis was our server for the evening and was at our table within 3 minutes of us sitting. We started with drinks, my daughter ordered an appetizer but I wanted to get straight to the milk and honey!! I knew what I had the taste for as for my main course and Luis made a suggestion and it was right on point!! My girls hadn't made up their minds yet so we ordered a salad to start. The salad was TO DIE FOR (DEE LISH USđ). Luis prepared the salad with such great taste and certainly was not stingy with the olives and peppers (thank you!! đđŸ) The girls made up their minds on what they wanted and he cracked jokes and laughed with us while still being attentive to his other customers in the same dining area. The appetizers came out soon after our drinks, and it too was very tasty. The calamari was perfectly seasoned and the mushrooms we not overcooked. Luis continually checked in to see that were doing well and to see if there was anything else he could do while we waited for the main course. He took care of things we were about to ask for before we could even ask for it. We completed our meal (with some left over) and before we could request boxes to go, Luis was already on it!! We ordered dessert to go and asked if he wouldn't mind taking a photo with me for this review. Thankfully, he obliged. As we were preparing to settle our check and leave, we received yet another friendly face at our table. It was Luis' GM Kyle. We had to share our experience with him and shared with him that Luis certainly deserves major kudos and accolades. Kyle suggested that we leave a comment for Luis on the table kiosk, but because we were still raving over Luis, the comment section timed out and it didn't allow a "previous page or go back" option so I had to put it all in this lengthy review. Luis, if you ever get the chance to read this, I need you to know that you truly made my valentines day and reminded me of why we should always carry joy with us no matter where we are or what may have transpired 10 minutes before the next customer!!! You have the perfect personality for your position and we...
Read moreI really hate giving a two star review but I want be honest about my experience so when I add all the factors together I feel I got two star service. First, the hostess that "greeted" us was not friendly at all like expected when entering an establishment for dining. She was rude and seemed bothered. At first I just thought it was me but my husband came in a few minutes after we were seated and asked me what the hostess problem was, needless to say he got the same treatment. Secondly, our waiter was either not very well trained or new. Will someone please teach him that you DO NOT palm the top of a drinking glass when serving it, no one wants to put their lips where you just had your hand, especially the guys at my table who do not use straws. He probably just didn't know, easy mistake that can be fixed, but still gross. We ordered pretty quickly an appetizer and all you can eat soup, salad, and bread sticks with endless dipping sauce. We waited 30 minutes before anything was even brought to our table. They could have least brought our salad out. He finally came to let us know the soup wasn't ready and asked if we would like our salad. He finally brought out the salad and bread sticks. The bread sticks were hard like they had been sitting awhile and we had to remind him we order unlimited dipping sauce. At this point we still hadn't gotten our appetizer. Finally, after receiving our appetizer and finishing our first bowl of soup and salad we continued to sit for another 45minutes before he even asked if we wanted more soup or salad. I understand places are under staffed, and I am usually pretty forgiving and patient about the situation but, it was no where busy and there were plenty of servers. I am glad my husband wasn't on his 30min break or he wouldn't have gotten to eat at all. Unlimited soup, salad, and bread sticks should be readily available at lunch time. Within a two hour span we got one salad bowl for the table, two bowls of soup with zero to little gnocchi, hard bread sticks, an appetizer as part of the main meal, rude hostess, and a waiter that palms my drinking glass. This is not the quality and service I would expect from...
Read moreWas in there today, October 20th, around just before dinner time. The waitress was friendly and the food was okay, but the food took over an hour to come, literally, and there weren't even that many patrons in the restaurant so I'm not sure why the waitress seemed so overwhelmed. I can overlook those things and hope it was just an isolated incident, but what was inexcusable was the condition of the women's bathroom. If it were just the first time this has happened, I would just assume they were having a bad day, but this is the third time I have been into the Orange City restaurant where the women's bathroom looked and smelled like a truck stop bathroom. I stopped at two rest areas on my way back to Florida last week and both of those rest areas were a thousand times cleaner than this bathroom at Olive Garden. There was toilet paper all over the floor. Pee everywhere. On the toilet seats, on the floors. The stench of urine was UNBELIEVABLE. If they were making even a half-arse effort to keep that bathroom clean it would not smell that way. The first time I went in there there was an employee using the restroom, and the second time I went in there there was another employee, so it's not like they didn't know how filthy it was. Both of them acted like they didn't even notice how disgusting it was. Again, if this was a singular incident, I wouldn't have been compelled to leave a review, but this is literally the THIRD TIME time I've been in there where the condition of the ladies room was deplorable. I heard another patron who had summoned a manager to her table to complain about the conditions of the restrooms as well. I also heard another woman tell her daughter not to touch anything because "this is always the nastiest restroom." So obviously this isn't a case of just me being too picky. I very rarely leave negative reviews, but this is getting ridiculous. I might expect this in some sleazy diner. But at Olive garden? Three visits in a row?? Come on. Get...
