Discount Tire — Attraction in Orange Township

I went to here based upon the recommendation of a good friend who has gone here for years. I also liked that they gave military discount because I am a military veteran. I was told that I need new lug nuts after I purchased 465 dollars for 4 tires. I told them I do not need lug nuts for a 2017 jeep patriot. They also told me the tires won’t fit and tried to show me different tires that were higher in price and told me there are different Jeep patriot 2017 latitudes. I explained that I know what my car is and that the website that I used was discount tire website to find the tire that is needed. They tried to also say I need new wind shield wiper blades (I replaced them last week in preparation of winter.) They told me how hard it is to take off the windshield wiper blades. I proceeded to laugh. They tried to up sale and said I needed new lug nuts because “the shiny caps are where the lug nuts are and that there are some that aren’t there and they are bad. It will be 50 dollars.” I looked at him and said I just need the tires and he proceeded to tell me that they won’t do the tires without purchase of new lug nuts. ALSO! The money I purchased the tires came back to my account which I set aside for the check out. Then I walked out. He had my keys still and when I walked in no one was there and my keys were still on their desk and I took my keys off of the counter and left.

I took the car over to get a second option at good year and then took the car over to my machanic who has worked on the jeep and get this. BOTH PLACES SAID THE LUG NUTS ARE FINE AND THEY BOTH WORKED ON THE JEEP. Also those 50 dollar lug nuts I found on Amazon for all 20 for 17 bucks.

They then called back and asked to reschedule and said nope I went somewhere else to get tires. Have a good night. Thanks though Jason!!!

They lost a new customer and the person who recommended I go there by their father who thought highly of the place.

Going forward I will be paying higher for nice tires at good year and should have never swayed from good year.

Again, this place will try to upsell you and clearly do not know what they are...

Ridiculous upselling by their staff. My wife went in because she had a slowly leaking front tire. Thought it was the valve stem. After a 45 minute wait Chad at the front said that he wouldnt even drive the car into the shop if she didnt purchase two new rear tires. By the way i check and there is 50% tread left on the rears. I ended up taking the car up the street where they saw a nail in it and repaired it with a plug for a total of $27. Taking advantage of a Women's lack of knowledge about cars if pretty lowlife in my opinion

After two weeks of dealing with the Territory manager I have learned that it was all our fault. Really? I was told that because my wife's tires were 6 years old and below the their acceptable tread wear limit that they wouldn't work on the car! The fact that they pressured my wife to buy 2 new back tires because they couldnt even drive it into their service bay to fix what ended up being a nail hole must have gone over the Manager's head. He did admit that they should have at least helped her out by putting on a spare or taking a look at it and had NO answer as to why they didnt. We were offered a brand new set of 4 tires as a bribe to change our rating or keep quite about our experience. The manager completely missed the point obviously. Fathers and Husbands DO NOT SEND your wives or daughters to this store!!!!! Looking at the BBB review on line of complaints there was at least 30 in the last month alone and many about the same ISSUE.

Too many other good places exist to do...

I have been using this location for a few years now. John and Wes run a top notch operation. They are always running around making sure every customer is greeted and needs met. Customer Service alone is reason to keep people coming back. It’s a lost art and these guys do it right.

I had new tires installed on Thursday, shortly after driving off the lot, a new noise surfaced. Went back and talked to John, while the expertise is in tires John was willing to make it right and allow me to investigate the issue wherever I saw best. It turned out to be a brake And of no fault of the amazing techs working that day. His willingness to allow me to work with whoever to correct and let him know if it was an error speaks volumes to the caliber of operation.

Fast forward to today. Discovered a small leak coming from one of the new tires. Called Wes and told him what was going on. He said bring it in and we will get your squared away. Showed up around 3pm on a BUSY holiday. They stayed true to their word and got me on my way and issue identified and fixed. It was very busy and was great full for the attention and speed to get me back on the road to deal with life

In today’s micromanagement world due to social media I wanted to make sure the Team at the Lewis Center location know just how good of a job they are doing and to keep it up.
