I bought 5 Grandiflorum Catawba Rhododendron at a price of $48 each in July of 2018. Its October 7 and all 5 are dead as a doornail almost a month ago. $250 worth of plants and soil and all DEAD!!! Why? Bad quality and the nursery will not guarantee what they sell. The supplier Monrovia will NOT stand behind their product either - but wait, same supplier sells the same product to Lowe's and they are warrantied for 1 year. The best part you ask? Lowe's sells the same plants for under $20 vs. $50 at this nursery. I wrote an email to Monrovia and they responded back - threw the "book at me" stating all the possible reasons they could have died as a result of my neglect. Was bad product a plausible cause in their lengthy email? Of course not. Does the nursery stand behind its plants and offer exchange (not refund), not a chance. Last time I buy local - and from this nursery. Waiting for spring and will buy from Home Depot or Lowe's for half the price and ....wait for it, a guarantee of 1 year. This nursery also sold me $15 worth soil conditioner, like that did me any good. Which by the way is $4 in Home Depot.    Read moreThe owner Art(junior) provided terrible customer service. I suspected that someone damaged my car literally infront of their store which had two of their security cameras right on it. I saw their camera system was up and running while they provided me with their contact information in the store front. They told me they would review the footage and get back to me later that night.
Not hearing from them I called two days later, I was told their system had an issue and someone would come by and fix it and then they would get back to me.
Not hearing from them I called three days later. Art, who claimed to be the owner, told me their camera system doesn't work and there is nothing they can do for me. I told him that their system looks new and that the cameras operated cause you can see the feed in the store, he very dismissively said no it doesn't work because it's old. I asked if they will fix their broken camera system and he told me maybe after this season.
