One of the guys sitting at the front desk doesn't know how to talk to people. Most card shops leave a box of cheap/unsorted cards to look through on the front desk, and when I reached to look through, he looked incredibly annoyed and said "Can you not?" without making eye contact.
I paused, not knowing he was speaking to me, and he rudely repeated "Don't touch that" this time making eye contact. "This is inventory," he says loudly while returning to whatever he was doing. He could have just said, "Sorry, this is inventory," making eye contact to clearly convey the message, but instead he just seemed annoyed to be working and having to talk to someone.
I told him that maybe he shouldn't leave unmarked inventory on the front desk, and he ignored my comment as would be expected from his lack of communication skills. Read moreI've made some great friends through Spellhold Games, both staff and other players. Staff is helpful and knowledgeable, and the shop has lots of room to play. This is a great shop for legacy players, Tuesdays are poppin. They have MTG, Pokemon, Flesh and Blood, Disney Lorcana and One Piece. They have a ton of snacks and drinks as well. The restrooms are by key only so you don't have to worry about messy public restrooms....
