Worse experience ever! If I could give it a zero stars I would. I made a phone order with Katelyn of what states on their website "Kids Meal Chicken Teriyaki w/shrimp and Veggie tempura for $6.99" I asked for no shrimp because my son is allergic as well as 8pc CA Rolls for myself. The cashier confirmed the order. About 40 mins go by I called to ask if it is ready because I only get a 30 min lunch break and I have to drop off my sons meal at home. Katelyn tells me "Oh I meant to call you but its one or the other chicken or tempura". A whole 40 mins and she couldn't call me? I told her that is not what your website states and what we confirmed. Her response was I'll fix it. I get there and my order is wrong. She tells me "Oh yea its only one or the other so we have tempura for you." At this point I am upset, I am on a 30 min lunch, she did not fix it like she said she would and there I am with Katelyn trying to give me something I did not order! She tells the chef pieces of it and said I thought I ordered chicken and veggie tempura. I jumped in and said tell him the truth that is what I ordered and you CONFIRMED IT with me. At this point the chef begins to giggle and lie stating their website isn't working when clearly it was! I had their site up on my phone! Then he said "She's new & in training" so I added that's not my fault. He leaves to the back with her & another employee passes I asked her if Katelyn was new? She said "No". They are full of it. The chef comes back & says he was going to charge me an extra $5 for the veggie tempura. I said forget it that is not right and I left! Money isn't a problem! It's the fact that they lied and tried covering it up. I ordered what they are advertising and their employee confirmed. NEVER AGAIN...
Read moreLarge groups BEWARE!!! This is the second and last time I will EVER bring a large group here. The first time is very similar to the second in terms of very bad service however, the first time we had a party of 10 and the second time a party of 6. I'm going to tell you about my second experience but just know that all of these issues happened the first time as well and that's why I am so compelled to write this review.
The first and last plate had approximately 25 minutes in-between being delivered to our table. Nothing is more awkward than having your food sitting in front of you for 25 minutes because you know it's rude to eat in front of everyone when they haven't been served. It also doesn't help that we saw the staff deliver food to one of the employees on her break while we were anxiously waiting for ours. In addition, while we were waiting, it actually seemed like they were avoiding giving drink refills. Not once did they offer. Everyone had to ask the waitress individually. The straw that broke the camel's back was when I asked the waitress about the other happy hour roll that we hadn't received yet and she told us that they had actually put it on ONE plate! Yup, you heard that right! Two people, on the complete opposite ends of the table, who were on separate checks, had their food delivered on the same plate and that plate was passed to me. Imagine how bad I felt when I realized I had been eating someone else's roll while they were patiently waiting all along. Oh and then it turned out that they had shorted us on rolls so we had to wait for the other rolls to come. I was so embarrassed with the level of service that I will never recommend this...
Read moreWe had reservations at the bar early, at 5:45pm but weren't seated until approximately 6:15. Once seated at the bar, it took almost an hour to get served our main course. (We ordered an appetizer too and that took at least 30 minutes after we were able to put our order in. We waited 20 minutes to get the attn of the chef to make the appetizer order) When my dinner entre came it was DOUBLE the amt of sashimi I ordered. I ordered the smaller size of 4 different raw fish items but the chef made the larger sizes of each one. I'm not certain why, as he knew it was my dinner. (I wasn't sharing). And I'm a very petite person! So I was charged double what I had estimated. My guest wasn't served her dinner until a solid 45 minutes AFTER I received my dinner entre. We were very frustrated and felt almost shunned. We tried to converse with the chef but he ignored us. I have gone to Koison many times over the last THIRTY-FIVE YEARS and I am sad to say, that was my LAST time. They are not in the business of satisfying the customer any more.
