I have had buckeye for 4 years and have ALWAYS used less than 250gb per month. For 4 years!! So for the last 2 months I've been given the honor of "Data Overage Fees" saying I've used 474 gigs of data. Absolutely not. I call to complain and they try to force me into believing I've used that much. $75 in overage fees for someone that is only home 2 nights of the week and on the weekends. But they would be "More than happy to credit half of those fees back if I was willing to upgrade to their unlimited data packages." Buckeye is not about customers, they are about money!!! They do not care about you! I'm currently on the phone with AT&T to switch over to them. $40/mo for unlimited data. I wanted so terribly to stay local, but that is NOT a possibility. I was forced out the door with fraudulent fees so they can greedily upgrade me to unlimited data. Enjoy my modem being dropped off and losing another customer....
Read moreI sit and read all these bad reviews and see the computer generated responses from Buckeye and just have to laugh. I dropped cable over 4 years ago because my bill kept going up and never replaced them. Trust me people you can live without cable. After a few months didn't bother me at all. I still have internet through them because they are my only option and that bill too is constantly going up. I haven't gone over my data ever but now all the sudden I am. So I called to see about unlimited data and it's $30 more a month. But what about those ads that say $15 more will get unlimited? Nope...only if your a new customer. There is NEVER any promotion for loyal existing customers....ones that have been with them for years. Normally I would be proud to promote a local company but I would never recommend Buckeye to anyone until they treat there customers, especially there loyal...
Read moreBuckeye Cable is absolutely the worst. I live in Sylvania and our only option is Buckeye or Frontier. Long story short our only option is Buckeye. They charge incremental internet speeds at incremental rates and deliver half of the speed you pay for AT BEST. How is this legal? We should pay for the MBPS we receive, period. I pay for 400 and get 120 to 200 on a good day. Should be only paying for 120 worth of MBPS then. Also the internet only works on their own router+modem combo and it is horrible and does not cover much space at all. I do not know anyone whos house is fully WIFI covered by their routers. To get full WIFI in your house you have to pay monthly for their geek squad and pay extra for the equiptment. This company will be outdone soon enough by 5G and i cannot wait. They are only setting up to monopolize now and not for the future.
Your future...
