I really enjoyed my time at TownePlace Suites. The housekeepers were responsive and helpful and I really appreciated the fact that they spoke English as their first language. Im not against non english speaking housekeepers, but boy it does help when you need to ask for something. The front desk staff were helpful, patient and welcoming. I really appreciated that I felt comfortable and at home with the fridge, stovetop and small apartment. It made it easier for me to visit my family without imposing on them because I was able to invite them to spend time with us at the hotel for barbeque. The kids appreciated the pool. The pool was great because there was no clorine smell. The towels were available and I love the color scheme in the pool area. The location is very convenient to many grocery stores and felt safe. It was affordable for me to stay for 8 days. My only, but major complaint/suggestion is not about the hotel or its staff, but about other guests smoking near the door. It would be helpful if the hotel created a smoking area, away from the barbeque and away from any place where family will be seated. My dad just quit smoking after many years so it made it hard for him. I dont smoke at all and I dont want my children exposed to second hand smoke. Other than that, I have no complaints. The parking was stellar. THe soaps, conditioners and lotions really made me feel refreshed and at home. Thats a big compliment because I do have high standards. I hope the staff enjoyed our leftover chocolate icecream pops and japanese sake. :)
The housekeepers were very accommodating. As mentioned before, I really appreciate that you hired people who speak clear english as a first language so that when we needed help, we could ask for it and they totally helped. The front desk staff were very friendly and had a good sense of humor. That helps a lot when your attitude stinks because you are tired, kid is grouchy, your flight was delayed and you feel like crap. Coming in to townplace suites after all that drama was an absolute godsend because we could finally relax, in...
Read moreI chose this property after considering reviews both here and on the Marriott website. Admittedly, I did not pay close attention to the dates of the reviews on this site, and I found the feedback on Marriott’s own site to be somewhat mixed.||The property is easily accessible from the interstate, though I found locating the hotel itself a bit tricky—specifically where to turn and which road to take. That said, it’s within walking distance of several dining options, which is convenient. The exterior and common areas appeared to be maintained in a somewhat haphazard manner—cleaned, but only to the minimum standard.||I used the Marriott app to complete mobile check-in. The property pre-authorized my credit card for the room and incidental expenses but did not assign me a room or issue a mobile key in the app. When I inquired about this upon arrival, I was told it was due to issues related to a fiber optics cable upgrade. The staff member then began the standard check-in process, asking for my ID and credit card—something that mobile check-in is designed to avoid, and admittedly a pet peeve of mine.||The staff member then asked again to pre-authorize my credit card. I explained that this had already been done during mobile check-in and showed her the authorization on my banking app. She stated that it didn’t matter and that she still needed to swipe my card again. While perhaps this is standard practice, it’s inconsistent with any of my prior Marriott experiences and made me feel uneasy. I declined to have my card pre-authorized a second time, and the hotel consequently refused to complete my check-in or provide a room.||After traveling all day, all I wanted was an easy arrival process and a clean, quiet room. Unfortunately, I ended up...
Read moreWorst experience i have ever had! I stayed here for 3 weeks-staff was confused and obviously not trained properly! Understanding considering they just opened! On the 3rd week i got a phone call from Michael whom is the owner-he also owns the hampton next door, and the holiday inn express on navarre as well! He called me to ask me if i have receipts that there was nothing in the computer saying that i have paid anything! Not sure how i got a key or access to the room! He was rude and threatening before he ever had a chance to even get the receipts from me! Then once i prooved him wrong and told him how i didnt appreciate him calling me at work being rude and threatening. He all if a sudden called the cops telling the cops he wanted me to leave his property because he was wrong and it was way to hard for him to apologize and admit he was wrong! Just another foreign man coming over to our country trying to rip people off! Took an extra 80 off my card? For what? Hes a rip off! Nice hotel obviously because its brand new! Bad owner! I would not recommend this place to anybody, in fear that he would rip u off or treat u wrong! We are paying customers! We pay his bills! Michael dont pay ours! He shouldnt treat people like that! If u want to act like that then u should carry on back to ur country! Staff even talks about him & the police were blown away from it all, and how he treats people! Welcome to America-the land of the free! & money...
