Hobby Stop — Attraction in Orem

this is my favorite place to go to look for kits and model trains, and the occasional rocket, the man there is very nice. I go there every few months just to see what's new, and there are things that are! I love this place. very homey, nice atmosphere.

Update: Since April 2018... They got a new place closer to where i live, which is AWESOME!!! his new place is so much better than his old one, a lot more open and lighter feeling. right now he is considering putting up a layout in the front, possibly for having children and adults test out some trains! ive been going a lot lately, usually for keeping myself supplied for my own layout, i hope he continues to keep this shop running. still five stars though if i could i would bump it to 10 outta 5. (Update) since the move ive been able to more easily access the store by bus, and the bus stop northbound is basically right by the store, YAY!!!

Update: January 2021 to Present New Owner! Lovely lady, has two dogs that help her around the store, very well mannered, seems to be getting the store up to date! Its been reorganized since shes been there which actually feels a bit better....

I wouldn’t darken the door of this establishment. I pulled through their parking lot at 6:10 pm (noted in google as their least busy time) and stopped briefly to get directions. No other cars were around or entering the parking lot trying to come into their store.

All of a sudden a scruffy looking unprofessional employee was coming toward my car. I rolled down the window and he yelled at me about blocking some of their parking. I explained that I was just safely getting directions before pulling out on the street, and he needed to calm down. He then flipped me off and yelled the full F word at me. I would encourage others not to be a customer here if they can’t have a smidge of grace and kindness for others. No one deserves to have awful profanity...

Small model shop, but I love it. I've been here a couple times for paint and models, and they've got all that you need. They sell everything from collectable trains to car models to WWII plane, ship, and tank models, to Star Wars models. It's not too expensive either, so if you're looking for somewhere to buy a model to work on, come here! The staff working are always super helpful as well. They direct you around the store if you need help looking for something and will make sure you got...
