We walked in around 8:50pm for our reservation for date night at 9pm. Staff obviously looked our way and did not say anything. I had to speak up and ask what to do and how to check in. They just told us to wait outside. After entering at 9pm, they directed us to our seats and gave us a QR code to scan and watch a video on how the place works. Why make us watch a video on our phone when you have a tv where everyone in the building can watch the video at the same time? A brown haired girl came around and quickly told us what to do. We seemed to be bothering her already just by being there. She told us to choose chocolate molds from the wall but when we went to look they were all almost broken or ripped. The toppings kept running out, other couples being obnoxiously loud, and no chocolate samples were given out even after being told we couldnât eat any and had to wait. For $34 I would expect it to be slightly cleaner. Even though you get 1 pound of chocolate, they know youâre going to go over that. They donât portion out anything and the total came out to $58. On top of that, working with food, you would expect them to enforce the mask rule. Yeah, I know the CDC said fully vaccinated people can choose not to wear it, but if youâre around food, I would expect you to wear one. I would not come back here again or...
Read moreI went as part of our company team-building activity. It was a lot of fun to build the chocolate and have so many options to include in our creations. The staff was friendly and besides for the owner you can barely tell they were around. They really were like our little chocolate elves. Everything was delicious! The only reason I didn't give it a five was because the team building activity felt more like a rushed add-on, than a useful part of the event. The "team building" activity didn't have anything to do with chocolate which was bizarre and disappointing because that's the whole point of doing it there. Otherwise, we can do a team building with professionals and not chocolate makers. Also, team building activities should be catered to the specific organization. Our activity did not apply to any of our processes or what we do. Not to mention the fact that he mentioned the name of the company wrong about twice. Overall, that portion was a total wash-out. Skip the team building activity, save your money, and instead go straight for the...
Read moreI have held many birthday parties for my daughters over the years at Farris & Foster's and had our last this past June. It's booked as a party where the kids can make anything they want since they are old enough. As parents, we used to always be allowed in the back where the kids were making chocolate even through we weren't making chocolate ourselves because we were taking pictures, etc... This year however, we were told that the only people allowed back were those making chocolate. If we wanted to be back there to take pictures, we would need to pay an additional $25/person. My husband and I had driven most of the kids to the party and we were forced to wander around the Baldwin Park area while we waited for them to finish. Of course the kids were too busy to take many pictures of the event. Needless to say, we won't be hosting any more birthday parties at F&F again. Very disappointed at the apparent recent...
