Horrible, the most humiliating experience ever. I am a 57 year old PhD that lives in the general neighborhood. I ride my bike to Sodo regularly. Today Saturday Jan 3, 2015 at 3:00 pm I was pulling up to TJ Max and I hear sirens. Their rent a cop felt it necessary to speed up to me on his over priced Segway with his siren blaring to say it is illegal to ride a bike anywhere at Sodo shopping center. I confirmed with Target management, who apologized that I had had such an experience, and they said bikes could certainly be ridden there in fact they have bike racks. This seems to me to be profiling along the lines of the disgraceful acts of cops in big cities up north, but this is not a cop it is a rent a cop employed by the management company for Sodo. The only reason I can think of for this humiliating and slanderous action, is that the management company must want even less business for their renters than they already have. I counted at least 10 empty stores, and I was the only one anywhere to be seen but their representative felt it was a good use of his time to speed up to a 57 year old PhD with lights and siren blaring because he was riding a bike. Bikers beware, in fact who knows what other rules this Sodo Security Guard is making up to give himself something to do. As for me I was humiliated in front of witnesses that saw the action from inside TJ Max, something has to be done about this place! In case you are wondering, I am incoming president of Rotary here in Orlando, have been President of my Condo Board and volunteer at Ronald McDonald house and other charity's through Rotary, but it seems I am not the type of customer Sodo wants on property. I guess bike riding is very...
Read moreI have silver sneakers, that means I can work out at any gym for free. That means they collect the money from my insurance company probably at a discounted price. The lady that was getting information kept asking me," do you want to upgrade to use the pool or other facility items, or just want basic?. As a silver sneakers member I can use anything in the gym. She was quite rude! kept saying well what do you want? Obviously she's not familiar with silver sneakers and not trained properly . On the bright side , there was one very nice employee, he was quite friendly and accommodating. After tiring of her attitude, I asked for a guest pass, she said okay. I absolutely will not go back there again. I have several options. They do have a large Olympic pool if you like swimming and a gymnasium for playing basketball probably volleyball too, it might be a viable option if you don't have silver sneakers and don't run into...
Read moreWe've been to another Gator's and they were slammed but the service was excellent and quick. We decided to try one closer and went for the all-you-can-eat wings and they were good. The waitress was friendly and kept the food coming. We didnt have to wait and she was upbeat and nice the whole time. The problem I had was when we got there we waited for about 20 mins or more. There were people around but no one acknowledged us or the person in front of us. Finally, a woman greeted the person in front of us then several people that'd been passing us by seemed to notice we were there. The person that came after that initial woman noticed a line was gathering seemed completely...
