Flippers Pizza SODO — Restaurant in Orlando

Ordered over $60 worth of food online and get there before pick-up time. They tell me it’ll be 5 more minutes, which I don’t mind, because the pizza should be hot and fresh. The cooks then asked me my name and said “oh it’s already out there” — meaning where they put pickup orders. One goes to grab it and bring to me and the box wasn’t even lukewarm — but already soggy and cold. Didn’t want to complain right there and resigned myself to reheating at home in oven. Not even that could save the already-congealed cheese. Our food was inedible and made the expense even more maddening. I have no idea how long my food sat there, but any good pizza should be fine to eat cold, but definitely on an oven reheat. However, that somehow made this “pizza” worse. This was our first and LAST visit. Maybe eating there is better, but all fresh pizza should hold up after a 15-minute car ride. They clearly made my order way ahead of time and didn’t care about freshness or serving it slightly warmed. I’m just shocked by all the good reviews after this experience.

UPDATE: was called on the manager's personal cell and given every assurance this was an isolated incident. He has credited my account and personally promised to make it up when we visit again. Will definitely give another chance to use said credit and will update...

—-Jan 2023— I’m updating this review because I do think their pizzas have been delivering much better results for the past couple of times I’ve ordered from them. I normally order the Margherita pizza because it’s my favorite, but recently I’ve been trying other pizzas because I discovered is their tomato sauce what keeps me coming back. It tastes fresh every time and in my opinion, it’s well spiced. Their MyPie pizza is a great deal for the price and they also have lunch specials. Their sides are also big enough to share so we always get one if we order the MyPie size so we have leftovers. I have dined in, ordered in store for take out and also ordered online and all of the interactions with the staff have been good, too. Super chill vibes for grabbing a late night bite if you are getting off work and are craving pizza (they close at 11pm).

—-July 2022— I have some mixed feelings with this place because of the consistency of their flavor. Sometimes this is the best pizza I’ve had for that price and some other days it’s just a regular pizza place. It’s convenient for me because you can order online and they close relatively late, if compared to other places in the area, but I guess it’s simply a hit or miss. I wish they would standardize their procedures so it delivers super tasty...

Very bad experience. A year ago I gave 5 stars. I am a local business owner in SODO. I was just humiliated and berated by Terry, a server. I walked in to place an order. Terry was talking to the only 2 guests in the restaurant. I asked the grill cook if they had broccoli and could he start it up for me while Terry finessed his table. I waited patiently and joked with the crew. I challenge Flippers to run the tape and see how long I waited. I joked about waiting too long. Terry said he was "Busy with his customers". I just got off from working a long day and had my backpack and purse with me. It was raining, so I had a hoodie on. Maybe he thought I was homeless. Terry never attempted to take my order or even greet me. He immediately berated me. And kept saying over and over again... I'm dealing with CUSTOMERS" I was very vocal.

This is my 2nd bad experience at this location. I changed my review the 1st time because the manager took the time to reach out to me.... being that I work next door. The manager on duty tried to get Terry's attention multiple times. And each time I said, let him work. When Terry finally spoke I was berated and INSULTED. I left feeling humiliated.
