DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME OR MONEY! I was one of the first appointments of the day. My physician and her assistant were very nice and professional. At 3:30pm I called my pharmacy to see where my prescriptions are, they have none for me. I call the clinic around they do not answer phones so the answering service put a message through to clinic. I drive to clinic to find office closed early (before posted closing time). I knock and someone from the front desk comes to the door and confirms the prescriptions are put through at the end of day, to give it two hours and it should be there. Of course it was not!. I call into office the next day and get that straightened out. At this rate.... print my script out like it's 1980 if your staff can't e-scribe properly. When physician and assistant were on tablet during my visit I see no reason why it can't be completed right then and there as it's intended use. Okay, after 1 week of using medication I have a side affect and cut back dosage. After the second week, I begin to experience a " rare, but serious side affect". I stop taking medication and call into office first thing Monday. I receive a call back the next day that I missed and called right back, but had to leave a message. Someone returns the call Wed, she listens to me then explains the doctor is out and will get back the following day. She will speak with the doctor and get back to me. I hear nothing back. So the following Monday I put a call into the office manager. I get a casual call back 3 days later from a technician telling me they will call in a new prescription. I voice my unhappiness with this office and the care I've received this far. I tell her to put the prescription in and I will decide if I intend to keep my return appointment, she agreed. No prescription was ever received.... Are we really surprised?! Return appointment canceled!! They may be the largest practice in the country, but they can't handle simple office tasks. I'll gladly take my business to a competent dermatology practice that cares about patients...
Read moreBEWARE!!!!!!!!!!! I had a very negative and concerning experience with Advanced Dermatology as a whole last year. I need to make it clear that it was not the patient service I reference, but what occurred after that I have an issue with that could have ruined my credit. I myself am a +20 year medical field veteran, so I do know the in's and out's of proper operations of the medical field. I had a ruptured cyst removed, but this office had sent the lab work to the wrong lab which my insurance refused to pay. The lab for some reason was sent to Florida Hospital's Lab, which cost three times more than an approved lab. Florida Hospital Lab continually sent me notice for a lab BILL OF $900! I called the offices of Advanced Dermatology and Cosmetic Surgery as well as their head office AND THIS BACK AND FORTH CONTINUED FOR GREATER THAN 6 MONTHS!!! This is due to the fact that they supposedly incorrectly submitted the wrong paperwork. I continually contacted the office manager and manager at the head office a documented 22 TIMES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! This only concluded when I refused to head finished the call with the manager until she resolved this issue. The operation occurred in May and the issue was finalized in January of the next year! UNEXCEPTIONABLE! I also had to continually contact Florida Hospital's Lab to follow up with this unresolved bill which could ruin my credit. I had worked hard to have good credit and because of their negligence it was threatened. Thank god it was finally resolved with my persistence and I finally confirmed this with Florida Hospital's Lab. Also, my suggestion to everyone is to always keep a call log with names, dates, times of any person you talk and their title for any correspondence regarding any issue with billing. This is to help you in the...
Read moreMaybe instead of just asking to look at my card and point to specialist saying "Specialist Copay" and imply that I should have a better understanding of my benefits you should do your part as well. I have a VERY CLEAR understanding of my benefits because of everything personally I went through the last year. I came in for a cancer screening and cancelled immediately after your staff agent refused to listen to the fact that my deductibles are met and that indeed, I do not have a copay anymore. She proceeded to cop an ego and tell me your office is a "specialist practice" multiple times... I mentioned to her that when I booked the appointment the gal confirmed that if my deductibles were met, there wouldn't be a copay and that I even talked to my insurance prior to coming and confirmed that because all my deductibles had 100% been met for the year and based on my plan (which, funny, benefits called me on the way home just to make sure I was taking advantage of all my benefits and CONFIRMED that I should not have had to pay going into your office) I am maxed out for deductibles and everything is now 100% covered PERIOD and they confirmed YOUR OFFICE is covered at 100% and I should not have been asked to pay anything. I drove an hour and a half to get to your office and an hour and a half back wasting my gas and taking up time out of my day, plus was referred to you by a medical doctor who I will let know your office does NOT do their job properly. Even on the phone when I called back frustrated that your staff agent had not listened (I'm assuming I got the same gal at the desk that spoke to me originally) stated that they were a specialty practice again and a very cold "sorry". Definitely not impressed at all with this practice after that...
