Extremely Disappointing Experience – Misleading Promise & No Accountability
I had an incredibly frustrating experience at Sunglass Hut and feel compelled to share it.
On April 4th, while traveling for leisure in Orlando and going to Miami the next day, I visited one of this store and found a pair of sunglasses I wanted to purchase. Unfortunately, the pair available was scratched. The store associate assured me they could ship a new pair directly to my hotel and guaranteed it would arrive before my departure on the 14th. I made it very clear I was only in Miami temporarily, and she insisted there would be no issues with the timing.
I trusted her word and made the purchase.
Unsurprisingly, the sunglasses did not arrive before I left the country. (Today is the 16th and they still has not arrived) I visited another Sunglass Hut location in Miami to ask for help, hoping someone could assist or provide a solution, they told me there was absolutely nothing they could do.
At this point, I’ve paid for sunglasses I never received, and Sunglass Hut has washed their hands of the situation, despite one of their employees making a clear and confident promise.
While I understand USPS delivery delays can happen, the bottom line is this: I would never have made the purchase had I not been guaranteed delivery in time. That guarantee turned out to be completely empty, and now I’m out both the product and my money.
