UPDATE: The original review was moderated away, but I feel it is important that this is shared as one of my friends had a similar negative experience with this employee/manager on her vacation. I have edited it in hopes that this time it doesn't disappear.
What I heard from one of the workers on 3/21/18 is so unbelievably bigoted and ignorant, I am still in shock and awe. I overheard this bigger black girl (her name tag said Renee) tell a patron who got the wrong drink made by her "Ma'am, if you learned to speak English maybe you would have ordered the right thing the first time" and "it's not my fault that you ordered your drink wrong, stupid."
I was sitting at the corner table overhearing this conversation while I was using the wi-fi to check myself and my family onto our flight in the morning.
I also witnessed this girl berate other customers, talk negatively about other coworkers and call them names behind their back, and being plain mean in customer view and earshot. I thought she was a manager because other employees were asking her what to do.
Starbucks, if this is a snapshot of leadership in your coffee shops, you are doing something wrong. The way that this girl was acting is enough to make me thing twice about ever stepping foot into a...
Read moreMy mom and I stopped here before we started shopping. I had my four little ones with me, two of which were seated in a double umbrella stroller. There was a bit of a line but we waited. We started to get served at the first register. The barista didn’t get to finish taking my moms order before the man next to her (I guess she was training) asked us if we could move the stroller out of the way so they could help the next guest. My mother said we would move out of the way just as soon as they took our order. At this point we were met with more pushback and hostility from the man who was working. He and the barista started asking if we could just move and at this point it becomes an argument because my mother is trying to explain (but is getting talked over) that we have every intention of moving but we want to give our drink order first. They refused to take our order and the man gets louder each time he opens his mouth. Finally when he’s run out of things to say he comes back with,”Well at this point it’s become a fire hazard.” What?! We weren’t a fire hazard when we waited 5 min in line to get served? This place is a joke and so are the employees. We...
Read moreSo with Covid protocols still in place the staff only allow 50% capacity. No tables or chairs to sit in while the rest of us will need to stand in line outside in the heat. Allow 10-15 mins for this...once you are inside..allow 10 mins to make thru the line to have your order taken by a very self-important cashier, then another 10-15 for the one barista to make your refreshments while she chats up all the customers trying to pronounce thier names correctly. I watched my poor mocha frappuccino melt away in the blender while her grammatical speak is sufficient and could care less that this store is in one of the busiest malls on the east coast...nevermind the cashier who can do nothing to help his only barista because he was too busy trying to gain the attn of the room being the loudest and probably more self attn mongering..standing room only for these two or the manager who actually left these two alone..IN THE BUSIEST STORE IN THE MALL...and it was an espresso frappuccino, by the way... Headed to the non corporate cafe next door thanks for that, and the too expensive mocha espresso...
