This hotel was beautiful and near perfect. It had the feel of an apartment complex rather than a hotel. My suite was clean, comfortable and quiet. I had a king studio, and it managed to feel spacious and this is attributed to the design of the rooms. The furniture and style of decor is contemporary. The bathroom is well lit and also spacious. All my towels and bedsheets were WHITE and clean; there is an extra set of bedding in the closet im thinking for the sofa bed. Housekeeping stayed busy throughout the hotel, always cleaning something, and the one day i did not place a do not disturb sign outside my door, they knocked to ask if i was in need of anything for my room, which was appreciated. The kitchen is fully equipped with everything you need to make a basic meal and store it. Paper towels and dish soap and sponge were included and a nice surprise. The fridge is full size and there are two stovetops, but no oven. Theres also no air vent above the stove top so i wouldn't cook anything too complex. Breakfast is offered daily with a variety of options but the main hot choices seem to be eggs and sausage patties. They have a waffle, bread and oatmeal station and switch out the fruits, muffins and cereal. Coffee station in the lobby is clean and well stocked with non dairy creamer options 24/7. There is an ice machine on every floor and i wish drinking water was also available in the same manner or at least in the lobby. They do have a little market to make snack purchases but i think if coffee is complimentary water should be as well. Theres a coin laundry room for guests and change is available at the front desk which is convenient. I believe detergent is available for purchase at the desk as well but i didnt need it. The lobby is cozy and beautiful with plenty of seating options and power outlets everywhere. They do have a pool/ lounging area with towels outside. The hotel is located in an area with plenty of restaurants, a starbucks, and retail stores within walking distance so you dont need to go far for most things and could get food delivered if you wanted to. Parking is free with more than enough spaces. Overall, i was very impressed and enjoyed my stay. It was only for a few days but i would definitely recommend it for an extended stay. I very much felt at home and this hotel will be my first choice in the area. I loved it here.
CONS: I do have safety concerns. The back doors leading to the pool should remain (all the way) closed at all times considering it is located right next to the elevators. Anyone could jump the pool gate and have access if the door is slightly open (which it has been) and no one would know because of its location. Also, in the evenings/night someone should always be attending the front desk. There were a couple of times i went to get coffee in the same night, and each time no one was at the desk/ front area being vigilant. Its necessary even if its not busy since the front doors are open...
Read moreThis review is based on the 3 hotel rooms we encountered during a 6 night stay. We checked in, put our belongings in the room and went to dinner after a 12 hour drive. Once back we started getting ready for bed because we had a long day planned for the next day. My son reached over to get his cup from the nightstand around 11:30 p.m. to find some roaches crawling on it. My first thought was to leave but it was in the middle of the night and my reservation was nonrefundable. My husband called downstairs to let them know. Alex apologized and stated there are no more rooms. While waiting I pulled the stand from the wall to find trash and crumbs. Pulled the mattress away from headboard and found more debris. After talking to his manager, Alex offered a room for us to move to for the night that was currently out of order. We packed up and went to the next room which only had one queen bed and what was suppose to be a sleeper sofa. Now in a frantic mood I checked the same areas in this room that were not cleaned as well in the first room. Of course, the same areas had been neglected. I spent time cleaning those areas before letting my family sit or lay down. (Please add Clorox wipes to your luggage when traveling.) Because we had to head out early the next morning and another room was not available until later Alex offered to hold our luggage in the manager's office until we returned. I received a call later from Yasmine who stated she was an assistant manager. She apologized for the room and said she would comp me for the one night stay which I felt was the least she could do. When we got back to the hotel the person at the hotel gave us our belongings and new room key. They apologized and said Yasmine said we could get two things from the vending area. I kindly declined and thought that was a joke. They could clearly see a large bag of snacks and cooler full of drinks in my belongings. Maybe that was a peace offering. However, there were other things she could have offered us for the sleepless nights, cleaning after her staff and anxiety of her roaches in our belongings and the possibility of us bringing them home. The new room was better. However, I was still distressed about the roaches and did a wipe down before taking any items out of my bags. I am praying that we have not bought...
Read moreMy boyfriend and I stayed here at this hotel for 5 days. We arrived to Florida a bit early on a Friday morning and were told there weren't any early check ins, which is understood. We were asked to just come back at 4pm. We came back, did a very quick check in and then went to our room. Our room was spotless and neat. All of the silverware and dishes were clean. It was a very beautiful room. That night though, we took out all of the change in our pockets and left it on the desk very carelessly. We went to breakfast that morning, which was a really nice spread of eggs, waffles, turkey bacon, cereals, bagels, etc. and then went out for the day. However when we came back from our excursion, after housekeeping had tidied the room, all of our change was gone. We didn't think anything of it because it was just some change. We tried to remember not to leave anything out again.
It was the night before we left that it really became evident that our stuff was missing. We had gone to the arcade the day before and had a pocket full of over $10 worth of change between the two of us. We were so tired that we left all on the desk and went to sleep. We woke up the next morning, went to breakfast, got dressed and headed out to Universal Studios that day. When we returned back to the hotel suite, the staff had cleaned the room as we requested, however all of our change was gone and the cigars my boyfriend had in his bag were also gone. He had taken them out the night before and left them on the top of his duffle bag covered so he could give them to his cousin before we left Florida, and they were just gone. I went down to the front desk and the concierge asked for me to come back in the morning and she took down the information. I went down first thing in the morning and Chip, the general manager, took down the information and said they would do a lock audit and get back to me. We were checking out that morning so I asked the concierge again and he also said the same thing. He said they would call me with any information. I spoke to the manager of housekeeping and all she could was tell me she was sorry. It's been 6 full days and I've called the hotel several times with no response. I won't ever stay here again. I'm very disappointed...
