The last two times I’ve happened to be in the area, I’ve stopped into Amelia’s. The first time I thought this was just a fluke, but not a single employee acknowledged me but acknowledged others and it was VERY obvious. I had a dress and shoes picked out, even tried on the dress (took it upon myself to go in the fitting room and not even ask an employee) and still, nothing. I put both items back and left. A couple months later (today) I went in thinking it wouldn’t be the same scenario/tried to give the benefit of the doubt…. Wrong! There was an employee sitting in the front folding some items and I walked by with clothes in hand and proceeded to try on jackets literally right in front of her. She didn’t say a word.
If I’m being honest, they only acknowledge middle aged women. Young woman in there with their mom? They’ll only speak to the mom. Young woman in there by yourself? Won’t talk to you at all.
They must work on commission or something and only go after a specific target, which is unfortunate.
