Fresh Value Oxford — Attraction in Oxford

Dorsey's Supermarket was a family owned and operated business in Oxford since I can remember and has stood the test of time in areas such as convenience, low pricing, quality meats, & friendliness. It's small-town, family friendly service and emoyees' great attitudes throughout the decades made many of Oxfords residents sad to see the Dorsey family sell their store. Quite frankly many feared the company taking control of the store would be 'Profit Over People' and make such drastic changes that we'd no longer want to shop there. When Fresh Value stated they'd not make such drastic changes and they they would operate much like Dorseys had some of us were still skeptical. Mkstly we feared we'd be compelled to make the dreaded Wal-ley World trip for our needs. Now, with all of that being said I will say Fresh Value has kept their word not to drastically change what customerss & citizens were accustomed to. They have made changes though. They're called upgrades. It seems that the changes are for the better except for one. I'm not the only one disappointed and upset about this one change. I'm sure there are a few of us who felt lost, befuddled, confused and maybe even being pranked when we could no longer pull up and jump out to purchase the cheapest and coldest can of coke in Oxford from one of the drink machines outside the store. Recently they advertised a huge truckload sale so we decided to drive the 40 miles to pick up some bargains. We arrived the 1st day of the sale and they were already out of the items we came there to buy. This was not the 1st time they were out of stock of advertised sales items. Apparently the truckload was more like a Nissan Frontier instead of the tractor trailer they advertised. I asked one cashier if they had any of the items in the warehouse and got a real cold shoulder and quite rude response. When we checked out by another cashier he never said thank you or have a nice day or anything positive to me. Seems he was at the last place he wanted to be on that particular "Truckload Sale" day. Come on Fresh Value I hear good things about you but I have yet had a good buying experience in your Oxford Alabama store. Start offering rain checks or increase your inventory soore of us can get in on the bargains or I will stay closer to home and do my bargain...
