We recently hosted Hey Papi Promotions Network’s fellowship event at Oxon Hill Manor in Maryland, and it was an absolute standout experience from start to finish. It felt like the perfect blend of historic charm, modern convenience, and hospitality that makes meaningful connections feel effortless.
Venue vibe and spaces Oxon Hill Manor delivers timeless elegance with versatile spaces that adapt beautifully to our multi-part program. The grand rooms exude sophistication, while the more intimate salons and outdoor terraces offered ideal nooks for roundtable discussions and sponsor showcases. The ambiance is warm and inviting without feeling stuffy, striking the right balance for both polished program segments and relaxed networking.
Staff and service The events team was responsive, proactive, and wonderfully guest-focused. From the initial planning conversations to day-of logistics, they anticipated needs, suggested thoughtful touches, and kept the schedule moving smoothly. On site, staff moved with practiced efficiency—setups, transitions, and contingencies handled with grace—so our speakers and attendees could stay present and engaged.
Catering and atmosphere Catering was a highlight, with refined menu options that appealed to a broad audience while maintaining ease of service. The presentation was sleek, and dietary accommodations were seamlessly integrated, ensuring every guest felt cared for. The overall atmosphere—elegant, yet comfortable—provided plenty of opportunities for conversations to flow naturally between sessions.
Technology and accessibility AV support was dependable, with clear sound, crisp projections, and reliable connectivity for hybrid attendees. The venue’s layout offered excellent sightlines and accessible routes, making it easy for everyone to participate fully. Parking and accessibility were straightforward, which added a layer of ease that’s often appreciated at multi-session events.
Networking and fellowship impact The space truly facilitated connection—ample lounges for one-on-one chats, dedicated sponsor moments, and larger rooms conducive to collaborative workshops. We walked away with tangible outcomes: new partnerships, clarified next steps, and a renewed sense of momentum for the network. It felt less like an event and more like the right environment to foster genuine collaboration and shared purpose.
Why this venue works for our brand Elegant, adaptable spaces that support a multi-faceted fellowship agenda. High-touch service that remains approachable and guest-centered. Thoughtful room design that balances content delivery with organic networking. A historic, prestigious setting that still feels welcoming for everyday outreach and partnership building.

Read moreFiancée and I were looking for an historic venue for our intimate (60 guest) wedding and after visiting 10 different historic homes in the DC metro area, we thought we found the perfect match in Oxon Hill Manor. Looking back on our day, the venue was indeed beautiful and great for our party size, and the food was great (thanks to our caterers). However, there are several major issues we encountered that potential renters need to be aware of prior to booking.
-Communication with staff was very strange and inconsistent. Not at all what you would expect out of a professional wedding venue. They were at times rude, at times completely non-communicative, and at times overly communicative. This included thoroughly unprofessional staff emailing the bride the week before the wedding for paperwork they already had on file. Staff also called us on our honeymoon four times in one day to let us know our deposit check was in the mail. Talk about weird overkill…they even knew we were overseas and insisted on calling.
This is the MNCPPC Parks Department and not an actual customer-service-oriented business, so they do not try to treat you with professionalism like an actual event venue would.
-A/C and guest comfort level during event; it was near 90 degrees outside for our morning/afternoon event. Even with doors and windows open, the rooms were impossible to cool to a comfortable level. Staff refused to lower A/C below 77 degrees, despite pleas from our caterer and event manager.
-You can only get in one hour before, so don't let the beautiful bridal room fool you; you will not have time to get ready there.
-Get EVERYTHING you want written in the contract, because they will make you promises about what they will "give" you and then won't do it on the day of the event.
In short, nearly everything about the venue itself-with the exception of air conditioning issue-was fantastic. Our guests loved the setup and had a blast. However, dealing with the Parks staff at Oxon Hill Manor was so problematic and weird that we would have to think twice before...
Read moreI give ZERO stars!!!!!! The customer service is non existent! I was scheduled to come view this venue after having a conversation with a representative THE SAME DAY , who confirmed my appointment, and when I arrived the gates were locked, and ofcourse no one answered the phone. I called the next day in hopes of getting a least a sincere apology to be met with a rude woman named Jaqueline who told me "first of all our facility closes at 5pm". I proceeded to tell her about the information I had been given the day prior!!!! I was told I could come on Wednesday between 5pm and 7pm for a self guided tour. Clearly under-informed people are answering the phone and giving wrong information, and additionally the have no idea how to administer good customer service. I had to tell her an apology was the least she could give then she hung up on me. SO i'll be taking my thousands of dollars elsewhere. If you want a venue that you can rely on..THIS IS NOT IT! Thank you Oxon Hill Manor for wasting 3...
