My husband gave me a Birthday party at Felt on 23 August. He made the arrangements with Tahliq Mills, Assistant GM. The night started off GREAT! The atmosphere was good, older crowd. We arrived around 10pm with our group. He purchased a couple of bottles in which the server brought the bottles to the table with the "VIP status" lights. A few of our guest also purchased bottles and the night was good. We only saw the server at the start and end of the night. No one order individual drinks due to the bottles we had at our table. At the end of the night, the server comes with the tab, my husband closes out the tab. The guys with him took on the TIP, while he paid the total tab. The server came back to my husband and said you didn't give me enough in TIPS! He was thinking she meant, he didn't pay the TAB, so he told her he gave her the card and he has the receipt. She says, no, I feel that I have been shorted on my TIPS. He then began to tell her that the other guys covered the TIP and the guys started to say, well I gave, $75, $75, etc... So then she proceeds to say, I'm going to get my manager! REALLY! The female manager comes over to my husband says, she never had to deal with a server complaining about not receiving the TIP she felt she deserved! So nothing was resolved. That was an attack on my husband and his character! To have a TAB, in the amount we had and then to expect that we give you 20% of our tab, when all you did was bought a few bottles to the table. We mixed our own drinks! As the birthday girl, I didn't see you except the first time you bought the 1st two bottles out! This was our very first time at this establishment, and will not be returning. THANKS FOR THE HORRIBLE ENDING TO MY 40TH!! Although this one group will not impact their establishment, however, we had several active duty, Retired Military, and corporate workers, who was bothered by the way the server interacted and vowed to now patronized this place. They will definitely pass the word, this is not how you handle business. Word of advice to Mr. Mills, if your bottle servers want more in TIPS, then maybe the establishment should have it automatically added in the bill.
UPDATE: Mr. Mills, AGM of Felt, reached out to me after receiving my email. He apologized and stated what happen with us is not the intentions of the business. He offered us a chance to make things right and a "better more valued experience". Thank you for acknowledging my email and responding. It's the customer service that matter more! Greatly appreciated. For this, I will provide 3 stars, for attempting to...
Read moreStepping into FELT Bar & Lounge at MGM National Harbor felt like a refreshing blend of energy and sophistication. My friends and I had planned this as the big finale for our weekend staycation, and it delivered in a way that struck the perfect balance between lively and laid-back. Walking through the casino to get there, I felt like I was in Vegas again—slot machines blinking everywhere, people buzzing with excitement. But once we reached FELT, the vibe shifted to something a bit more exclusive, more refined. We arrived early, around 7 PM, and at first, it felt like we had the whole place to ourselves. It was almost like a private VIP experience before the crowd started rolling in. By 9 PM, the music was popping, and the bar area was filling up, bringing a real energy to the night. I loved the fact that there wasn’t too much pressure on the dress code—come as you are and just vibe. It was a nice change from the overly strict places that sometimes kill the fun before it starts. FELT's patio is a must-visit, especially with the outdoor bar and the option to do hookah. Yes, the seating is RSVP only, which might be a downside for some, but for me, it’s worth it. Especially if you’re with a group, booking a table just elevates the experience. The inside tables start at $750, while outside on the patio, you're looking at $1,500. For me, paying for a table was a no-brainer. We had space to lounge, relax, and enjoy our drinks without constantly shuffling for space at the bar. The crowd? Definitely a more mature, sophisticated bunch, which I appreciated. There’s no sense of chaos, just people looking to have a great time. The music was on point, the DJ keeping the energy just right—enough to keep us moving but chill enough for conversation. And the best part? If the lounge vibe isn’t enough, you're literally steps away from the casino, ready to throw a few dollars into a slot machine for fun.
After such a high-energy night, if you're like me and want to wind down the right way, Pull Up DC has you covered. Their Animal Crackers strain is perfect for capping off an evening, helping you relax and savor the lingering vibes from your night out. All in all, FELT delivered a memorable night. Whether it’s for a birthday bash or just an evening out, it’s got something for everyone—a perfect mix of lounge vibes and upbeat energy. I’m already planning my next trip, but next time, I’ll make sure to reserve that outdoor table and settle in for the full...
Read moreI went to Felt last night to enjoy a night out with my significant other and left after being rudely disrespected by management (e.g. Treasure Bamberg).
Long story short, we get to Felt at 8 pm. Between 8 and 9, I leave several times to use the bathroom. Before I left the last time, I asked Treasure and another door guard with red braids if it's ok if I use the bathroom and come back. The lady with red braids gets an attitude as if I'm bothering her and just shakes her head signaling it's ok for me to come back. Well, once I return to the re-enter line, Treasure attempts to redirect me over to the must pay to reenter line. I told her I've been here since 8 and that I just spoke to one of her staff members before leaving. She then says she never saw me and asked if the drink I had in my hand was purchased from Felt. I told her yes. She didn't believe me and forced me to produce a receipt for proof. I then produced 1 of my 5 receipts. She then rolls her eyes and backs away from me leaving me behind the rope still. I then asked to speak to a manager and she told me "I AM THE MANAGER", while yelling at me in a threatening tone. I then asked who was her manager and she told me Michael and that he wasnt there. She refused to give me anymore information. So since she never clarified if I can reenter or not after I provided my receipt, I touched the rope to let myself in. One of the security guards asked me not to touch the rope in which I apologized. He in turn let me in and told me that he observed the whole sequence of events between Treasure and I and he knew I was in since 8. How did he say he knew? He was the one that let me in.
As I walk back into Felt, I pass Treasure and this so called "manager" is staring and snarling at me like she wanted to physically harm me. Oddly enough, this isn't the first time this staff has been rude, this is just the first time I'm documenting it.
I purchased $150 in drinks last night and am a 20 year veteran of serving this country. I am appalled at the level of disrespect shown by this "manager". I would tell people to be very careful going to this place and interacting with...
