Call it a shock that there's a Comic Book/Direct Market Store in Palm Coast/Flagler County for the first time in closer to a decade (last one was Nerdz Comics and More at Flagler Beach). I randomly came across the store when I was the area near Walmart. They are in the City Market Place but they are on the second floor near the local Chabad. They are on the same side as Dominics Deli that's on the first floor. The owner, Ken, is a true Comic Book guy. He recently ran a comic book store in the Sacramento, California area, and moved to Florida for a change of pace. I am a heavy manga (Japanese Comics) reader, but I rely on the local Comic Book stores to help me out with American Comics on what's good/crap. Ken worked with me to what I was looking for, and I taken his recommendations with some purchases. Came out with one trade paperback and two floppies of current series. I moved back to Palm Coast from Jacksonville and while there's more Comic Book Stores up there, they are mostly not operated by owners who are super big into comics. I prefer going to Comic Book Stores since they are about Comic Books above all else. Store does sell collectibles, cards, and other goodies, but you come here for the comics. Interesting amount of rare items that is entertaining, including a good bit of indie stuff (which Ken has a good background on it). Opening a local comic store in Palm Coast is a challenge due to it is still a mostly a retirement city. With that being said, there’s more families with children moving here. If you are a comic book buyer/collector and you live in Northeast FL (Jacksonville area, St. Augustine, Ormond/Daytona Beach) or just visiting the area (the store is close to Exit 289 off I95) please give Ken a visit. Those who are big into comics will feel right at home here.

This is a lovely new shop with that freshly moved in smell of fresh paint + old comics mixing together, lingering in the air, drawing me in like a moth to a flame. There is a great selection of books here, there may be a little bit of inflated pricing left over from the pandemic when everything was high, but we were still able to pull a few gems. There was a great selection of inventory, which is on shelves like a library so you basically grab a short box at a time walk it over to an end cap of an aisle and go through it there. The place was very clean and organized. We discovered a new artist, Tim Tyler, who had several sketch covers he had drawn being represented in one of the glass cases. We ended up purchasing all of those. They have wall books that wrap the entire showroom floor and they are all in top loaders, guarded by a sign that says "ask for help" so you aren't supposed to touch them, but all of the prices are on the back of the books. I don't personally mind asking for a price, but it can get annoying if you want to know the price of several wall books. I would suggest putting the prices on the front of the wall books, I promise you you will see an uptick of sales when people don't have to ask what the price is. Piper, Ken's daughter, was very pleasant and happy to share her knowledge of comics. She also recommended Dominics for lunch, which was conveniently located downstairs and we enjoyed thoroughly. A collection had recently come in and we pulled out a stack from those boxes and left them to be priced so we could have an excuse to make a return trip 10/10 would patronize this shop again

Relatively new comic book shop here in Palm Coast, only 7 weeks in business. Glad to see we have a local comic store finally for the comic and trading card game enthusiasts. Please come in and check it out as my daughter now wants to start collecting comic books because I did when I was younger. Owner is extremely friendly he explained how his store is laid out. He has comic books, figurines, MTG cards and plenty of other collectibles for you to buy. Looking around his store today brought back memories of my childhood of collecting comic books. I will be bringing my daughter back again.

I had such an amazing time today at Ken’s Comics in Palm Coast! From the moment I walked in, the place had an energy that immediately put me in a good mood—walls lined with comics, collectibles, and statues that make you feel like a kid again. The staff was super friendly, welcoming, and genuinely passionate about what they do, which made the experience even better.

The highlight of my visit was finding and taking home an Incredible Hulk statue that I’ve been searching for. It’s absolutely incredible—detailed, well-crafted, and the perfect centerpiece for my collection. Ken’s Comics had it displayed perfectly, and the staff went out of their way to make sure I got exactly what I was looking for.

This shop isn’t just a store, it’s an experience. Whether you’re a long-time collector or just someone who loves the nostalgia of comics, Ken’s Comics has something for everyone. I left today not just with an amazing Hulk statue, but also with a huge smile on my face. I’ll definitely be back again...
