Thriftology — Attraction in Palm Desert

Being a So CA Native and visiting literally every little thrift store in the Coachella Valley and OC, I thought I would check this one out w my wife. First impressions spoke everything being located on the smallest cul de sac dead end street u ever tried to park on only allowing for one car at a time. None the less, the store is appealing, well merchandised and organized, and super clean. I was tempted to rate it higher then a “ One Star” but what appeared to be the owner and her daughter really gives it a “ Neg One” review! We walk in, small facility, a lady and young lady behind the register counter just talking and giggling. NO “hello”..No “welcome in” or anything. In fact too busy “ jaw jacking” to even make eye contact w us. We proceed to look around and start looking at some women’s cowboy boots. Sizes were hard to figure out so I approach the register to ask how they are sized. Both ladies look at me like I’m interrupting their conversation. When I ask “ are they sized w US standard sizing on them somewhere, the older (which I assume was mom) answers..”yeah their sized.” I ask are they US standard sizing she then replies “yeah the sizes are inside the boot.” No effort to assist…no effort to stop jaw jacking w her daughter..just gave that feeling “so what do u need sir we’re busy.” Simply the store may be “Five Star Reviews” but those two women are “Worthless!!!” Its simple to me…those two women should stay home, watch reruns of Geraldo, and install a self serving Robot Kiosk!! Had I known they were operating a little specialty thrift store to just jaw jack amongst themselves and ignore their customers I would’ve gotten better service by a self serving...

I recently visited Thriftology in Palm Desert and had a really enjoyable experience. This charming thrift store is a treasure trove for anyone who loves unique finds and vintage items.

• Great Selection of Vintage Goods: I was thrilled to find an impressive collection of records from the 70s. Browsing through their selection was like taking a trip down memory lane, and the quality of the records was remarkable.

• Fashion Finds: Apart from the records, I also stumbled upon a pair of cowboy boots that were in excellent condition. It’s clear that Thriftology takes care in selecting items that are not only unique but also of good quality.

• Friendly Staff: The staff at the store were friendly and helpful. They seemed to have a good knowledge of the items in the store, which added to the overall positive shopping experience.

• Affordable Prices: The pricing was reasonable, especially considering the quality and uniqueness of the items I purchased.

• Cozy and Welcoming Atmosphere: The store had a cozy, welcoming vibe that made the whole experience of shopping there very pleasant.

Overall, Thriftology in Palm Desert is a fantastic spot for anyone looking for...

DO NOT SUPPORT OR SHOP HERE. I know the risk when buying thrifted/vintage but as a vintage reseller who upcharges for the finds and quality of items they procure… They sold me dry rotted shoes and offered no help besides 15% off next purchase ??😂😂 I come to town every year to work the festivals and we love coming in to Thriftology on our off days. I tried them on in the store for 2 minutes and loved them. Things seemed fine. The coolest freaking boots. They were a size 9. I am a size 8 in shoes. They definitely fit my foot.

I’ve been waiting to wear them out to a dinner as I’ve been here working all month. Wore them out for about 10 minutes and the sole and stitching ripped out from under my foot while walking to the restaurant.

$100 wasted and the owner was rude and offered no help....
