Michaels — Attraction in Palm Springs

I'm only giving this place One Star because I can't do 0 or I would not be able to leave a review! We walked in the store just before closing and one of the employees made note of the fact that they were only open for 10 minutes, that's fine I understand him acknowledging the fact that we're walking in late, we explained him that we would be just a few minutes and we knew exactly what we wanted. We walk straight the aisle for the items that we needed, we took a minute or 2 picking them up while we were standing the aisle We had one or two employs hovering over us as if they were anxious to tell us when to leave, When suddenly the same gentleman that warned us when we walked in the door decided he need to approach us again to tell us that we only had 2 minutes left. This store does not want your business ! If it's going to be a problem shut your doors early! We go to Joanne's all the time on Monterey and they never tell us that we need to leave, they are always happy to help and extremely friendly I recommend everybody shop there Instead !!! Somehow because is told to you With Palm Springs SAS you're supposed to accept it and be OK with it ! IM NOT!...

I LOVE THIS STORE!!! Every time I happen to go in to Michel's for something specific- it's happened when going in for a couple specific items-- this store will have the most amazing deals going on for those specific items... Drawing pens, colored pencils, calligraphy pen sets, paint brushes... Beads and macrame string, coloring books, model cars, sewing supplies... It's like they know how much I want to buy, and they just so happen to have the best deals that make sure I am happy when I leave... And when I leave, the deals don't just stop- sign up for their newsletter and apply for a membership using ur phone number, and you'll get coupons for the next time you shop there! Better than Hobby Lobby, (any Hobby Lobby, for that matter), hands down-- Michael's staff is nicer, more helpful, and doesn't treat you like a criminal when you get lost in the store and spend time trying to decide what to buy or put back cuz you plan on spending over $100 at a time, almost every time. I almost wish I could direct deposit a set amount into a credit account from my paycheck. Someone's got to limit my spending! Thank you for being the best craft...

I'm not sure what's up with Michael's but the last two ive been to including this one is always so understaffed to the point even getting someone to open the bathroom is the biggest chore since it requires a secret employee code. We went for the clay slime event and it was honestly kind of a waste of time the way it was set up. I definitely think the kids could have more fun if they could make it themselves or had more mix ins, heck or at least watch it being made. To make things worse, the kids didn't get any baggies even to put their slime when we left so of course we had to buy a container lest I have it all splattered all over my car interior. The other Michael's I went to was not like this at all. Also the attendant at the slime event , though a nice guy, wasn't attentive to the kids at all. Didn't seem like he wanted to be there and to me that's a big no no for people who work with kids. Just went here for the slime event anyway and grateful for the free slime, but wouldn't go out of my way for this again especially at...
