Arrived at 3 PM, paid $16.00 as Cathedral City residents do not qualify to receive "Local's Price" of $7.00, after 1 hour was told by a Lifeguard that " Time is up!". Had to exit pool and complete my visit. Never told at ticket window that 1 hour would be the amount of time left to utilize pool. $16.00 for 1 hour of time is a bit excessive, especially since I have been utilizing Aquatic Center since I was a child, in Middle School, and even graduating PSHS 1994, and residing less than 10 mins. from location. The Aquatic Center in Palm Desert is cheaper, bigger, and had more activities... If you are not a "Palm Springs resident" (have to have PS address only!) I suggest going somewhere different. The City of Palm Springs should look for ways to include other residents of the Coachella Valley who are unable to afford the over priced cost of living in Palm Springs!! I guess the City has to make up for the years of having members of City Council and the Mayor's Office paying $250,000.00 for each Olive tree they...
Read moreThis was my first visit. Great skating layout. I was there around noon on Wednesday so the park wasn't very busy. Unfortunately, I guess i wasn't used to having so much traction compared to the La Quinta park so I went down on my first trick and bruised a rib lol. I chatted with a few of the regular skaters and they definitely aren't looking forward to the 15 dollar annual fee that will go into effect in a couple months. Unless they are opening a nice little hangout area with air conditioning and plans to have the entire skate park covered with shade... they said the $15 fee won't really be worth it. I think that shade idea would be a good idea especially for skating during the summer. They at least need some shady spots around the fence line while the...
Read moreThe pool location and facility itself I would give 5 stars, but like many others here have noted, the new non-resident rate is absolutely ridiculous. $15 for one swim is very unfair (especially when it used to be $5). I like to swim daily, and I've come here for years and always appreciated how accessible this pool was, but now I cannot justify going to this pool regularly. Out of principle, I find myself driving 20 minutes to Palm Desert YMCA, but overall, I have less of a desire to come to Palm Springs since the $15 price doesn't exactly say "welcome to Palm Springs" to non-resident visitors who also like to stay fit...
