Terrible terrible terrible experience. Was happy to bring my fiancé here for a celebratory dinner but it went terribly wrong. Our waiter was rude. I ordered a vegetarian saag with no cheese because I’m vegan. I asked twice to make sure there was no paneer/cheese, in the saag, and the waiter quickly snapped at me, raising his voice and saying “I got it”. I was determined not to let that ruin my night and decided to ignore it. My partner ordered the butter chicken. And we started off with samosas. The samosas arrived And I was so excited as I am I had been craving the mint sauce for days. Unfortunately when we went to dip our samosas in the sauce it was a watered down a mixture of that taste like green salsa nothing like that sauce that goes on samosas. Next the waiter brought out a plate of tandoori chicken. We quickly said we didn’t order it maybe it goes to a different table. And they continue to try to force it on us demanding that we had ordered it. Then the owner came up to us and said that’s OK and they took the tandoori back. We were very confused. Finally they came out with his butter chicken and my saag. Right away I noticed that my saag was very watery. Unlike any saag of ever ordered it before. I scooted to take a bite and bit into a block of cheese. Once again called the waiter and he took it back to the kitchen claiming they would fix it. He brings back a new song which I’m pretty sure they just scooped the cheese out of the old one and served it to me. I took one bite and it literally tasted like flavored water. Like they had some old leftover soggy and mixed in water to make it a full order. Disgusting. I nibbled on rice. And that was my dinner. When I asked for the bill the waiter tried to slip in both orders of chicken and they did not caught anything for all of the mess ups that were made. Very upset at this point my fiancé told the waiter to take off the tandoori chicken from the bill. The attitude from the waiter was very Condescending, very obvious that he was trying to slip in the extra chicken as a jab. I was furious. He corrected the bill and brought it to us. I paid $50 for this horrible experience. And it ruined our night. Please save yourself the nightmare. Go...
Read moreIt actually pains me to leave this review but I’ve never experienced or witnesses such disrespect and negligence at a restaurant as I did at Monsoon tonight. I placed a pickup order through DoorDash, arrived when told, and waited 45 minutes on top of that for my food. The place was backed up with people who also waited 30 to 50 minutes for their food or the food of their customers. Most people waiting are delivery drivers for whom time is money. The manager left his front line staff to suffer through this, and most ridiculously, wouldn’t simply turn off the DoorDash system and stop taking orders. After I asked, an employee told me they couldn’t pause DoorDash or adjust the wait times. At no point did anyone communicate the delay but instead we had to keep asking. At no point did anyone explain that there might have been a technical issue. They just let us stew, angrily, in a state of disappointment and confusion. I don’t expect things to go right all the time, but when they go wrong, just explain it and apologize and try to make it right. When I spoke with the manager he was dismissive and didn’t acknowledge he shouldn’t have been taking orders under these conditions. He could have offered us an explanation, an apology, or a discount. He could have just shut down the delivery system. He did none of those things. He disrupted multiple people’s jobs and earning not to mention meals, and he did so callously. So I’ll be speaking with my money instead and refusing to support this business. It’s a real shame I believe this is the only Indian restaurant in Palm Springs, but I can’t tolerate this willful disrespect and taking customers for granted...
Read moreThe customer service and buffet experience were unsatisfactory. On September 1, 2025, a group of ten members visited this restaurant after driving for an hour, expecting a pleasant meal. However, we encountered significant issues with the service. One staff member displayed a lack of professionalism and treated us poorly. Although there was a policy not to charge children under a certain age, it was inconsistently applied when the server decided to charge for our children, who were aged 3 and 4.
At the payment counter, the server created confusion by asking numerous questions about our table and the number of parties, complicating the process unnecessarily. The restaurant's ambience was lacking, and what was billed as a buffet had many empty dishes with no attempt to refill them. There were also no dessert bowls or spoons available. While the buffet cost for adults was $18, even the adults were unable to enjoy a full meal due to the lack of available food, yet the server insisted on charging for the young children.
Additionally, a staff member accidentally spilled water on a guest, and no attempts were made to rectify the situation. Overall, this was a disorganized dining experience. It may be advisable to consider other options if one wants a positive...
