Iām very disappointed in the customer service at their Palos location. During Covid, they ran a special for $100 for ten salt cave visits. On top of this, I was told on the phone that the visits would never expire. I recognized this as a fantastic deal, and I wanted to do my part to keep a small business alive. I paid for the ten visits. A Relaxed You doesnāt provide a punch card or anything; they enter the number of visits in their computer, so I have no way of remembering/keeping track of my remaining visits. Fast forward. I called the other day to find out how many credits I had available. I was told I have 2, but theyāve expired. I explained the no expiration when purchased during Covid promise. The lady said sheād call her manager. She called me back and told me in a condescending tone that when they sold them, they expected me to use them, and they usually expire after 4 months, so my two visits are expired. Sad that they will not honor the Covid promise, especially since it wouldnāt cost them a nickel to have me go and sit in one of their chairs and breathe in the salty air. In stark contrast, I called Primal Oceans in Lagrange where Iād purchased a punchcard prior to 2020 and have three remaining visits. The girl on the phone told me she canāt wait to see me tomorrow at 10 AM. Be wary of offers from A Relaxed You, and mark down any expiration dates in your own calendar because they donāt give you anything with expiration dates on it. I know Iām not a big customer, but A Relaxed You can enjoy the last $20 they will ever get from me...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreUGH! I was so excited to visit the salt cave on my birthday! I was hoping for a relaxing and pleasant experience but I received lackluster treatment and a cold greeting. The receptionist had a robotic disposition and seemed to be harried and upset. My 'introduction' was not welcoming and it was rushed. I went into the cave and it was cold; which was mirrored by the 'human' treatment. After the 'cave' no one asked if I enjoyed the experience or even if I had any questions. I then looked at the soaps and lotions, no ONE even acknowledged my presence..it was dead silent even though I was the ONLY patron at the time. Looking at the previous reviews, I noticed a lot of diverse clients; THAT made me feel comfortable. Once I was there, it was the complete opposite. I will NEVER return. The receptionist needs some additional training in 'how to make ALL customers feel welcomed' in what SHOULD be a positive and relaxing environment!
My response from 'owner' addressed...You are such a liar! NO one said Happy Birthday! NO ONE discussed some 'soaps' with me! NO ONE asked about my cave experience! You have the mitigated audacity to LIE and have potential clients assume that your receptionist was welcoming and hospitable is truly disgusting! To outright lie about what I experienced is truly indicative to your dark soul! You...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI went in about 2 weeks ago for my first ever facial. Although everyone was very nice and welcoming, I was definitely taken advantage of. For $85 I got soaps and lotions rubbed on my face. There were no extractions completed (not even a mention of them throughout the whole thing. Keep in my, I have never had a facial so I did not know any better), the steam was only on half of my face for about 3 minutes of the facial. Once it was all over, they were quick to show me all of the products used so I can make a purchase in addition to the $85 custom facial. Once I arrived home, I confirmed with family members who have had facials that extractions should have been done or at least discussed. When I called to inform them of what happened, I was told that nothing could be done until the owners were back and that I should have mentioned it while I was still there. Keep in mind, I HAVE NEVER HAD A FACIAL so how was I supposed to know? Here we are almost 2 weeks later and still have not gotten a phone call back. If you are looking to be taken advantage of and pressured to buy the products used or rescheduled, then this is the place for you! FIRST...
