Mid Villa Pizza — Restaurant in Palos Township

Hidden Gem & Highly Recommend! I drive up and down Harlem avenue all the time yet I have never stopped into Mid Villa Pizza. Yesterday I was visiting a new ice cream shop a few doors down, I was starving for food and walked into this hidden gem. To my surprise they have a cute little bar with bar stools and they also have a handful of low tables. I had no idea you could eat inside AND they have tables outside as well. The bartender was super nice and there were a handful of guys sitting at the bar drinking. I really thought the place was going to serve your basic pizza and maybe a few other things but they have a Great menu. I am not a fan of thick fries and neither are my children, really like their thin perfectly cooked shoestring fries and they also offer curly fries as well.

I ordered the chicken parmesan sandwich, being Italian I am slightly picky over sauce and in general all Italian food. When I got home I was pleasantly surprised how good it was! It was moist, not over cooked or under cooked, just Perfect! My sister called as I was eating, I told her I had gotten some food to go and she said oh ya, my brother in law and his whole family gets the pizza and food from there all the time. She said he loves the chicken alfredo dinner. My family has been ordering pizza from Mid Villa for over 20 years—my grandfather used to get it for us, and now it’s the only place that gets my money. The pizza is bomb, seriously.

My usual is pepperoni and jalapeño—those pepperonis are seasoned just right and the crust is always perfectly crisp. But on Mondays, you better believe I’m taking advantage of their half-off deal and load it up with sausage, bacon, green pepper, and onions (or garlic if I’m switching it up)—and let me tell you, it’s a solid 10/10.

It’s also a great spot for families. The place is super kid-friendly, and the staff always treats everyone with respect, especially the little ones. Whether you’re dining in or grabbing takeout, they make it easy and welcoming.

I’ll keep it real—sometimes there is a guy who answers the phone a little pissed off. But honestly, I never care. I’m not calling for small talk—I’m calling for that amazing pizza! The women who work there are always kind as hell and it’s not special treatment. They’re nice to everyone.

The male worker was rude multiple times and refused service for us. Asked us if we were going to dine and dash and treated us rudely, I have had multiple experiences with him and has treated us rudely all the times because we are young. Today he refused to serve us and would only listen to a adult. I felt offended for not getting good service, the other female workers treat us with respect.
