I was so pleasantly surprised at how NICE our luncheon was today at Joe Daniels. My family moved to Palos Heights when I was 10 (almost 25 years ago now) and I always knew of Joe Daniels as a neighborhood bar. We chose Joe Daniels for our luncheon because we wanted a casual laid back event. Tara helped me plan for our day ahead of time. She was super responsive and answered all of my questions quickly. She had said they had a new menu and let me tell you, the food today was excellent. I ordered a Mediterranean salad and it had actual romaine lettuce (no iceberg or huge chunks of the rib of the leaf) in it. The grilled chicken on top of it was juicy and flavorful. My husband said his Buffalo Chicken Wrap was one of the better ones he’s had out to eat in a while. The pizzas we ordered for the kiddos were yummy. There were a couple picky eaters and no leftovers. Everyone said the food they ordered was delicious. Dare I say it’s better than Franklin’s nearby… the server we had was very attentive. Their larger room was nice for a group of around 30 or so. We will definitely be back to eat soon. I think we might have just found our new favorite spot to eat in...
Read moreEdit: seems like new owners or something changed, no longer carries Pepsi either. Started noticing some odd stuff with the receipt and their calculations. On more than one occasion there was a 50 cent discrepancy. Not a lot, but it adds up and seems dishonest.
hidden, or not so hidden gem? as its off a major street. The boneless wings are awesome here! If you like buffalo sauce this place delivers. All dipping sauces appear to be homemade. I'm a big ranch fan(which is good too) and honestly I opt out for the blue cheese because its so good. My gf hates blue cheese usually and its all she gets as well.
Homemade chili is gggrrreeaatt as well. 50 cents per topping (cheese, onions, sour cream(but good size portions). Chili's spicy, but not I'm dying here spicy. Hamburgers are a good option too, with waffle fries as a choice(no upcharge).
Appetizers run you about 5 to 7 dollars and are good as well. Pretzel bites and artichoke dip are my go toos. Reasonable prices all around and good portions. Beer on taps good too. Only had the hacker, but 6$for a pint. Cant say anything bad about this place. Come...
Read moreI went here for a birthday party. I had some veggie pizza which was ok, although it had hardly any sauce and mostly cheese. The crust was also very crunchy. I also had some pepperoni pizza which was very similar to the veggie- hardly any sauce and lots of cheese with crunchy crust. I dabbed some of the greece off with a napkin and the napkin was covered with it. The host asked everyone if they wanted to bring home any pizza and everybody stayed silent. The next day I felt nauseous and sick. Although the food was unsatisfactory, the staff were polite. They turned on some music for us and were just nice overall. I would not recommend the food at all. But if you are looking for the experience go ahead. If you want good pizza instead go to Joe's Italian Villa...
