The Panama City Publishing Company Museum — Attraction in Panama City

The Panama City Publishing Company is one of those rare gems in our little city - Along with such other landmarks as The Martin Theater, The Museum of Man in the Sea and Monument Park in Lynn Haven - These places preserve our history and give us a glimpse into the bygone years of Bay Co. Florida. I think places like Panama City Publishing Co. add class and distinction to downtown St. Andrews and must be preserved at all cost! My sister came to visit from Olympia, Washington and one of the few attractions she wanted to see was the tour of old town St. Andrews. She and I were not disappointed. Led by our tour guide, Margaret, we learned so many interesting facts about the history and current happenings in this charming town. Maggie was an incredible guide. What a charming museum. The building itself is beautiful and worth looking inside. Then, the exhibits are thoughtfully designed and interesting. The best part was speaking with the docents (or staff?) They were incredibly nice and great at telling the stories of St Andrews and Panama City. The printing machinery still works, and they sell near letterpress cards, tshirts, etc. What’s especially nice is that the museum is FREE!...
