I recently visited the Panama City Publishing Company at 1134 Beck Ave, in Panama City, FL. While visiting the downtown area I found this very interesting working museum all about publishing. I took a guided tour through the entire process of publishing, the history of publishing in the area and it's owners. It was well worth the time to learn and see the actual machines that were used.

This museum is truly authentic from the original building to the historic equipment. The staff runs the working antique equipment and loves to demonstrate how they used it to create the products they provided. Great hidden gem we discovered while waiting for friends to have dinner across the parking lot.

My family visited this evening and had a wonderful time! Lisa was very informative, kind, and helpful! It was so nice to learn such great local history and it was free! They sell items that are printed in house like coasters, cards, and buttons that are very cool souvenirs!

The Panama City Publishing Company is one of those rare gems in our little city - Along with such other landmarks as The Martin Theater, The Museum of Man in the Sea and Monument Park in Lynn Haven - These places preserve our history and give us a glimpse into the bygone years of Bay Co. Florida. I think places like Panama City Publishing Co. add class and distinction to downtown St. Andrews and must be preserved at all cost! On top of all of this - They often have amazing exhibits throughout the year and the team that runs the business today are some of the kindest people you are likely to meet! If you are in the St. Andrews area and have not had the pleasure of checking them out - Please, go by and have a visit. You will be...

My sister came to visit from Olympia, Washington and one of the few attractions she wanted to see was the tour of old town St. Andrews. She and I were not disappointed. Led by our tour guide, Margaret, we learned so many interesting facts about the history and current happenings in this charming town. Maggie was an incredible guide. She is extremely knowledgeable and charming - a true asset to The Panama City Publishing Company Museum. I will definitely return with other out-of-town visitors with the hope of basking in this town and this lady's...

What a charming museum. The building itself is beautiful and worth looking inside. Then, the exhibits are thoughtfully designed and interesting. The best part was speaking with the docents (or staff?) They were incredibly nice and great at telling the stories of St Andrews and Panama City. The printing machinery still works, and they sell near letterpress cards, tshirts, etc. What’s especially nice is that the museum is FREE!...
