We were visiting my grandmother over the weekend and stayed at the Fairfield hotel so we walked over to the mall to kill some time. The food court was an easy stop and the kids play area was great to let the little one get some energy out. The mall even had a fun bungee/trampoline thing my 4 year old went on! However, this is where my experience of this place took a turn for the worse. As I helped my 4 year old onto the trampoline and stayed out of the way but in sight of her in case she freaked out one of the employees asked me to leave as it was jumpers only. No problem I was there for like 2 mins and she was clearly enjoying bouncing 20 feet in the air. On my way out of the area he just kept telling me how that was the rule and how it was posted on a sign. Again, I had no issue as I was already out of the are at this point and ignoring this semi aggressive man with the worst come over I’ve ever seen of maybe 10 hairs. When he realized I was ignoring him he got louder and even grabbed the sign to chase me down and put it in my face. My kid had a blast and wanted to go again which I would have done, but I couldn’t sit there and listen to him talk loudly to his coworker about how nobody listens to him and how much he hates his job.
Stew Leonard’s was super awesome and probably the best part of this whole area. 10/10 I would live there if I could and didn’t have to ever see come over homie...
Read moreThis is a great family mall. Not too big or small. Decent selection of stores. There is a play area for the little ones which is on they first floor, but moving to the second floor as of May 1 2019. The only thing missing is a decent family restroom. If you have the time - Macy’s on the second floor has a nice spacious one, with a sitting area where you can nurse your baby if you have to. The Soma store also is very friendly and will allow you to use their fitting room to nurse (which is why I love soma!!). It is a fun easy mall to let my little one run around because mainly all the stores are on the first level. I don’t have to worry about her running to the escalator or stairs! I do wish there were more options for sit down food. There is a pizza restaurant and Panera on the bottom level. The top has your typical food court selections. I hope more things pop up here when Stew Leonard’s opens in the...
Read moreI accompanied my Dad to a doctor's office situated inside the mall itself. I was there for several hours and walked around the entirety of the mall without entering any stores. It was incredibly interesting to see that this place hasn't changed since the last time I visited the place over 25 years ago. How are they still operating these brick and mortars? Who in the world would want to actively shop in this place? It's not located conveniently to anything but a highway. There's zero incidental foot traffic. I understand some folks (especially seniors) don't shop online and G-d bless them. It's just amazing that the mall probably does 20% of the business it did in the 90's yet its still operating. They should turn malls like that into schools or airports; better yet airplane pilot training facilities. 😎 Idk... avoid the place if you can help...
