Ordered grilled chicken lunch special as a colleague wanted to give this spot a chance. I reluctantly agreed. This has to be the worst Cuban food I’ve ever been given. This is reheated chicken, at its best, from the day before. Not fresh at all. And the beans have an off taste to them. I tried to eat some of the chicken but I couldn’t finish. As someone who loves all types of Latino cuisine, this is somewhere you should steer clear of. Wasted my money as I had to throw out the food in fears of getting food poisoning and ruined my only lunch break I have today.

After patronizing the Dumont location — ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ — since they opened, and eating Cuban cuisine for decades before that, I was sorely disappointed that the sandwich I ordered was barely toasted and the contents were cold, refrigerator cold, chilly in my mouth cold, and tasted wrong. It was disgusting. I could not finish it. I regret stopping there. You couldn’t pay me enough to eat there again.

We stopped in for my daughter to grab lunch at another restaurant. I saw Cuban Eddie’s and got excited so I ordered the beef stew. It was delicious! My daughter tried my food and ordered it for herself. She said it was the best unexpected stop.

Was in the mall and was excited to see they opened a Cuban Eddie’s here. Love the one in Dumont so I figured I’d grab some empanadas for quick lunch. Smh so disappointed. I ordered 2 chicken 2 beef. Took a bite of the beef first with the sauce and it just tasted really greasy the second bite I took I literally had to spit it out because it tasted almost rotten. Tried the chicken because I figured maybe the beef was just old and maybe the chicken empanadas would be better. Smh not good at all. The flavor was just weird. The meat in them both just do not taste fresh. I love empanadas, I make them myself, and also love trying them out from different places so this is not my first encounter with empanadas. The ones from the Cuban Eddie’s in Dumont are delicious so I just can’t believe how different the food is from one Cuban Eddie’s to the next. Literally just threw out 4 empanadas and such a waste of money. Smh never buying anything from this...

I ordered a Cuban sandwich and specifically asked for just mayo, cheese, ham, and lettuce. Instead, I was given a pickle and cheese sandwich—which is completely wrong. To make things worse, I’m allergic to pickles, so I couldn’t even eat it. There’s no phone number listed for the store, so I had no way to contact them about the mistake or share my frustration. This was my first and definitely my last time going to that location. Honestly, who even serves a pickle and cheese sandwich? That’s...
